'What Would You Do?' -From the Megami ML ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: What would you do? From: pacific.dolphin@juno.com (Ricky Ling) Dear Mailing Members, In AMG, Belldandy made a choice that she would give up her goddess powers just to stay with Keiichi. (however, the gods did not accept her compromise) Well...what would you guys do in her place? If you had someone you loved, would you give up those awesome powers just to stay by your love? Would you? Why or why not? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: JBPendragon Subject: Re: What would you do? Would you? Why or why not? I think it depends on the certainty you have that this is -the one-. Since Belldandy is a goddess, I have a feeling that she knows Keiichi is the guy for her. She knows that no other guy will ever come along, on earth or in the heavens, who is better for her than Keiichi. Since she knows that he's her true love, she's willing to sacrifice to stay with him. If I had that same assurance about a girl, then yes, I would. Unfortunately, so far as I have experienced, I haven't had that assurance at all, and it would be hard to sacrifice everything that I am, everything I've ever known, for a girl I wasn't sure wouldn't be gone in a year or so. ^_^; ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: cooan-chan@geocities.com (Cooan & Urd ) Subject: Re: What would you do? >Dear Mailing Members, > >In AMG, Belldandy made a choice that she would give up her goddess powers >just to stay with Keiichi. Would you? Why or why not? Me, I would do the same thing.. I mean, what good are all those powers if something is missing from your heart? I would give up everything I have to stay with my current boyfriend.. I mean, i don't have anything as large as her powers, but still.. I would give anything to stay with him. ^^ I think it shows that she truly loves that boy. ^.- And I would have made the same decision in her place. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Suka-Chan Subject: Re: What would you do? Love has the incredible power to dissolve the boundries between self and others...to the point that you and me dissiolves into a single "we". When in love, to be in love even a second longer...no sacrifice is too great... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: "Sheldon Wai" Subject: Re: What would you do? Well, since I still don't have anyone that I love, I'm not quite sure. But in the recent days, I've been reading a Chinese story called "The Giant Eagle and it's Companion" (Chinese guys should know what I'm talking about). The story has a lot of love in it. If I really do meet a situation as Belldandy and K1, then I would do the same thing. But in real life, I'm still waiting for that chance to come - hey I'm only 16. > Dear Mailing Members, > > In AMG, Belldandy made a choice that she would give up her goddess powers > just to stay with Keiichi. Would you? Why or why not? Megami otaku: Folks, this one's a no brainer. Bell-chan has already made the proper choice for you, but since Fujishima-san wants to keep the series going, he finds a way to keep her divine powers intact. Smart guy-it shows the power of good writing. Keeping one's divine powers without someone to share it with is rather pointless. The problem here is, do you give them up if your dealing with Mr(s). Right, or does Fortune's wheel turn around on you and kick you in the ass if your love goes on to someone else. We're lucky. We're human. We have the solution of "no-fault divorce" (I don't know how it is in Japan, fellas, so you'll have to bear with me), if one can call that a solution. Belldandy, otoh, knows that K1 is the one. Despite that fact, to the world at large, Keiichi is a putz. But she'll always love him because she knows what's inside. Now if she only would break down and eat a good steak once in a while.....this tea and riceball action's just gotta go. Keiichi has to take her out to a decent restaurant. But now I'm ranting again.8-D Oh, I've got it, "Otaki Fried Chicken"!!!!! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Vince Nguyen Subject: Re: What would you do? >> Yaa...o-hisahsi buri desu! ^^ Been busy, but I couldn't pass >this one up. This reply is extremely strong, you know that don't you? To the original person who asked this question, I believe you are going to receive mostly similar replies as to the one above, due to the fact that we all love AMS, and by loving AMS, you indirectly automatically classify yourself as a "romantic." I mean, come on! It's obvious, all the other details down, AMS is a romantic series. There are some of us are hopeless romantics, in that case, I'm probably much like you too, and would have a similar reply to Suka-chan ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: mendosan@hers.com (C. Would you? Why or why not? Well, I don'k know what powers I'd give up to stay next to Keiichi, actually, but I think I *would* give up any such powers just to stay by my love, had I one. Because that love would bring us closer to the truth than anything else in this life, and is fit prelude to the truth in the next. Compared to which, any "powers" seem pretty paltry. Sentimental? Sure! But if you can't speak the truth of your life, why say anything at all? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Keiichi991@aol.com Subject: Re: What would you do?
