Dmmanda of the Skuld ML : Skuld & Keiichi Note- Some of the articles come from other MLs ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thomas I. wrote: > This has probably been brought up but.... > > Those who have the manga look at the chapters where Skuld and K1 > interact. > The one that comes to mind is chapter 50. She being a child doesn't want something she views as hers taken away without consultation. It comes from a feeling of powerlessness. Later episodes shows a warming as she realizes Belldandy is not stopping to care for her. In fact during a later episode after the "Demon Urd" series, when we see an older incarnation of her, she is a lot more friendly to the point she starts upsetting Belldandy ("Skulds response was :...Older sister is jealous...{laughing}.) As to why she lets him try out the new equipment, she wants to gain approval from who she views are her peers. Urd could care less what Technoid wonder Skuld produces, and Belldandy has her mind generally on other things. Don't minimize Belldandy's technical ability, she is able to create things like CPU energy storage buffers on a pretty quick basis when she sets her mind to it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- C.M. She's got a crush on Keiichi, and tries very very hard not to show it, but that's different from hating him." Thank you for two really insightful pieces! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Skuld ML: >In the context of the story, she decides to come with K1 and Belldandy >to generate the MoonRock bracelets. I just got back yesterday from running around in a big hedge maze in upstate NY. What's this got to do with it, you say? Well... I also picked up a comic called Gen 13 Bootleg. This issue was drawn by great Dirty Pair artist Adam Warren. In it was a big splash page spoof of sailor moon and that phantom tuxedo guy. Pretty funny for all you Sailor fans. As for that Skuld and Keiichi question, I think Skuld wants a friend to talk to that is generally interested in her inventions. Her two sisters sort of just dissmiss her work(Boy, I know how that feels!). So the only other person that she knows is Keiichi. I think you're very right. In vol 12. when they go out with Peorth, and in 13 when they're trying to teach Skuld to ride a bike, and also when she's learning to levitate objects, they seem -very- brother-sister. It seems that Skuld is starting to accept Keiichi as part of the family even if she doesn't want to admit it! J. Lan Bellsmith
