Getting A Letter Read Really rare for someone to have his letter read on Japanese radio, let alone one from overseas. The radio show was the much anticipated AMG one on 3rd August 1997, 3-4 am. To protect the lucky fellow who had his letter read and due to recieve his gift, I'll identify him only as Eric from Texas. Lucky you, Eric! ============================================================================= Here is the text of my message, Leonard: "Hello from the US! Everyone here is very excited about Goddess Family Club's new singles and I wanted to thank you very much for all your hard work. I love Oh! My Goddess so much and listen to your music every day. It has touched my heart and changed my life!" (and then I said something like, "I'm in love with you Touma Yumi!" ^_^) I would have liked to add more, but it was pretty cramped even with that short message... Anyway, it worked! ^_^ Eric ============================================================================= Date: Mon, 4 Aug 1997 04:14:29 +0900 (JST) From: SHIMIZU KENJI To: megami@usagi.jrd.dec.com Just finished listening to the Ah! Megami-sama Special Radio show... there's a bunch of things to talk about... I guess I'll start with the Calender; There will be a calender, with CD-rom, comming out for the 1998 year. Finally!!!! It's 100% reservational, so if you don't reserve, you can't buy one... (unless you're really lucky, or are willing to pay alot...) THE DEAD-LINE FOR RESERVATION IS OCT.7TH, so run to the bookstore, ASAP. Second, there willbe the AMG CD-rom... well, all of you know about this, so I won't talk about it. Third, did anyone send in a letter (postcard) to the Radio show? There was one postcard introduced (By Toma-san/Urd)... she can read English quite well, if you guys didn'tknow... (did Hitoshi already point that out a while ago?) Anyway, this guy from Huston (sp?) Texsa (U.S.) (I think the name was Eric...something...) and was iotroduced.... (sounded like a adicted AMG fan as well... ^_^;;; 4th, the CD singles' songs sounded good. (Fujishima-sensei's song was on too. Banpei-kun ^_^; He was also in the radio show as well.) ......I guess you can catch the rest of the "seiyu area" (non-AMG area) of the show on the Seiyu ML, and other related lists. (I'm getting sleepy, and have to go to work in a few hours, so I'm going to catch some ZZzzz's... I'll stop here for today... (why do they have to have the radio show at 3AM-4AM in the morning??? On a Sunday night???? Before a Monday??? (before work and school???) -_- (well, for me, the show was good enough to keep me up ^_^; Hope this helped a bit. I don't believe it!! It's too good to be true!! I sent my little postcard very late, expecting it to not even stand a chance of getting there in time, but wanting and hoping to add my voice to the legions of truly great fans, like Kenji-san, Doi-san, and the rest of you here... I read Hitoshi's message where he said that they do read letters from America and that Touma Yumi might read it because she is good at English and, well, all I can say is that my heart skipped several beats!!! I suppose I am "addicted" to AMG, Kenji-san. Actually, I should probably say "devoted" ^_^ As I said in the postcard, "... it has touched my heart and changed my life..." Just to know that my postcard was touched by the hands of Goddess is more than I could have ever prayed for... You beat me to it T_T... next time, I'll send my postcard from overseas to get attention...maybe ^_^; (You lucky... you.... you'll be getting the promotion video... well, I guess I'll have to get one some other private route, unless it comes out for sale... You're a national target for AMG fans... hope you don't get killed at events from other seiyu fans ^_^; (just kidding ^_-... although I'm kidding, some crazy fans aren't... scarry...) (Anyway, they (Inoue-san, Toma-san, Hisakawa-san, and Fujishima Seinsei were suprised (as usual) to see airmail... they were wondering where you got the info. about this address and the how you're going to listen to the radio... need a copy of the show? Actually, I should > probably say "devoted" ^_^ As I said in the postcard, "... it has > touched my heart and changed my life..." (The were suprised to see someone that would say that... "changed my life ^_^;"..... over-reacting, maybe? (They understood that you were a SERIOUS fan, when they read that phrase ^_^;) Also, since you used simple yet effective english (and demonstrated that you're a seriously devoted fan, living over-saes, maybe that's the reason they read it...) > Just to know that my postcard was touched by the hands of Goddess is > more than I could have ever prayed for... (actually, Toma-san (URD) touched it... (only...) I foyu want Belldanday or Skuld to touch it, then write it in Japanese next time ^_^;;; (They can't read it ^_^;) > In the service of Urd-sama, Skuld-sama, and Belldandy-sama, > > Eric (Congratulations. Well, at least we know that your local mail man touched it, then the Japanese custums... maybe, and the mailman in Tokyo touched it, and Toma-san touched it... so that makes 3 people ^_^;;; Kenji Shimizu ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kenji Shimizu wrote: > > Congratulations.
