Drew Hamilton initiated Inoue Kikuko Conversation (From Hitoshi Doi's Seiyuu ML) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I think that I'm in love with Inoue Kikuko's voice. This weekend, I got paid a bit more than I was expecting to, so I went on a "seiyuu mini-shopping spree". I bought another Inoue Kikuko album (brings up the total to three), which I'm listening to now. The one that I bought was Fushigi na Omajinai". It includes a 45-page picture book of Kikuko -- some of the shots are in Hawaii, and some are in a recording studio, and other places. I also bought, and I'm guessing at the reading here (too lazy to use my dictionary), "Inoue Kikuko no getsu-something onee-chan to issho". It's a monthly "CD Magazine" that's put out by Kikuko, I bought the May and June volumes. I couldn't figure out what it was by looking at it, but it was cheap, so i bought it. And what a pleasant surprise! It's *70 Minutes* of Kikuko, essentially solo. Most of it is spoken-word, although in the volume that I've already listened to, there was at least one full song, as well as several "mini-songs" without instrumentation, just Kikuko's voice. Oh, nothing like listening to that sweet voice for over an hour at a time! *sigh*. Finally, the "Making of Voogie's Angel" laserdisk. I know essentially nothing about Voogie's Angel, but it was an impressive line-up of voice actors, and the laserdisk included a chance to win a ticket to a summer event. Inoue Kikuko did appear on the laserdisk, and her voice was as beautiful as ever, but the voice actress who really grabbed my heart on this laserdisk was Mitsuishi Kotono. Wow. She's cute, and has a nice voice as well. I can't wait for the Voogie's Angel OAV to be released this summer. Not related at all, I also found some nice Marmalade Boy and even a couple of Sailor Moon cels this weekend. It's the first time that I've found any cels worth buying. - Drew ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm shocked that Hitoshi hasn't done a review of "Classic" yet. That CD came out nearly a week ago! On Mon, 19 May 1997, Drew Hamilton wrote: > I think that I'm in love with Inoue Kikuko's voice. You've come to the right place to talk about that! And for you, http://super.win.or.jp/~toshi/seiyuu/inoue-kikuko/index.html is even more friendly. > Not related at all, I also found some nice Marmalade Boy and even a couple > of Sailor Moon cels this weekend. Well, Inoue Kikuko does do voices for both shows... Joe Petrow ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- > I'm shocked that Hitoshi hasn't done a review of "Classic" yet. That CD > came out nearly a week ago! I saw it, but I thought it looked like it just contained a lot of duplicates from the three albums that I already had. Maybe I'll get it once it makes its way to the Used CD scene. > (although lately it's hard to get Hitoshi's mind off of Nagasaki Moe...) I wish I knew more about her. She had some very attractive pictures in Voice Animage. I didn't realize that *she* was the famous Nagasaki Moe until I made someone in my office determine the reading of the name. She's really cute in that striped overall-type thing with the sea in the background. > BTW, she's married and old enough to be your aunt. Inoue Kikuko, I presume. Yeah, I know. I never said I was in love with *her*, just her voice (and a good voice is a good quality for a voice actor). Besides, until I get at least a few years older, I'm going to have to live with the reality that most seiyuu will be older than me. Besides Horie Yui, which I tried unsucessfully all weekend to find out something about, there just aren't all that many 20-year-old seiyuu. > > Not related at all, I also found some nice Marmalade Boy and even a couple > > of Sailor Moon cels this weekend. > > Well, Inoue Kikuko does do voices for both shows... Well, so it's somewhat related. However, the cels were of Miki and Ginta, and of Seiya, Chibi-Chiba, and Usagi, none of whom were Inoue Kikuko... - Drew ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- | The one that I bought | was Fushigi na Omajinai". Watching her record that 70 minutes would be better.. (^_^) At the event on 5/5, they showed a 20 minute video of her recording the June CD. It was recorded outside, and they had a video taping Kikuko. Joe Petrow wrote: | | I'm shocked that Hitoshi hasn't done a review of "Classic" yet. That CD | came out nearly a week ago!
