Oky, so in RLW the gods, goddesses and dragons kinda play a backseat driver type role. They're not REALLY a big thing but they're the reason everything's happening. In short, they define the anime and basically make it what it is (great that is..) So, to cover the main bases.. for every "good" god or dragon there's a "bad" god or dragon. Why? Because the whole basis of life is to maintain a balance 'tween good and evil, because without one the other can't exist (or at least that's what I gathered from it).
