There are countless Ranma 1/2 CDs, just as there are countless Ranma opening and ending songs. For Anime like Ranma 1/2, custom is that they get at least two different opening theme songs, and Ranma has seven of these (about the same number of closing theme songs). Which is a record, I suppose. It's because none of the Ranma opening songs are particularly memoriable, though each one gets better than the last one. Which is good. I hate to say that most of the Ranma songs are terribly exciting either, though they sure came up with lots of them. Since I have sat through the best animated Ranma Anime and also the worst animated, I must say that the Ranma Anime gets much better than it was before in the end. In my opinion, the last opening and ending songs were the best songs out of the entire number of them. The songs below come from a variety of sources, though there is one place, the Ranma sound shrine which has absolutely everything. It has nearly every version of every song in every Ranma CD ever recorded. Some other sources are the Eric Gilmore's Ranma Page and The Ranma Movie Archive. Original Soundtracks

• Original Soundtrack - Mostly BGM with some vocals; Ranma 1/2 is reknown for it's "Chinese-style" tunes which are very catchy and in general happy.
• Original Soundtrack Vol 2 - Mostly BGM (more happy Ranma tunes) and some vocal songs. I have no idea what, though.
• Original Soundtrack Vol 3 - Mostly BGM with some vocals like the previous soundtracks.

Theme Song Albums

• Opening Theme Songs - Needless to say all the opening theme songs to Ranma, and also a dialogue at the end. Some of the themes songs are quite good (especially the last ones). Go here for all the songs. In wav and mp format.
• Closing Theme Songs - All the closing theme songs, which is about the same number as the opening theme songs. They get real good near the end. Go here for all the songs. In wav and mp format.
• Doco Collection 1 - A collection of character theme songs by Ranma-female, Akane, Nabiki, Kasumi and Shampoo. Go here for all the songs. In wav and mp format.
• Doco Collection 2 - Another collection of character theme songs, same as it's predecessor. Mostly girl power here with only half a boy singing. Go here for all the songs. In wav and mp format.
• Fighting Song Karuta - A huge collection of songs, including different versions of each opening and closing songs as well as character theme songs. Has everything...with fourty-five songs you can't miss much. Go here for all the songs. In wav and mp format.
• Ranma 1/2 Hot Song Contest - The fact that this turned out to be a song-and-martial arts contest seems to undermine the title a bit. Another round of decent songs, but it keeps on being interrupted by the characters fighting. Good for listening to but not dancing to or something. Go here for all the songs. In wav and mp format.
• Ranma 1/2 1991 Song Calendar - Includes songs by most of the characters, but as the year suggests these are "older" songs. Nevertheless, go here for all the songs. In wav and mp format.
• Ranma 1/2 1995 Song Calender - You must be wondering what happened to the years between, though I can only say I couldn't find them. 1995's Song Calender was in the form of a radio talk show, with Ranma-male and Akane chatting and arguing about which song to put next. It's quite entertaining if you know Japanese, and boring if you don't. All the songs are old songs, so if you if you understand the language this one would be for you. Go here for all the songs. Movie Soundtracks

• Ranma 1/2 Movie 1 Soundtrack (Chuugoku Nekonron daikessen! - The Battle of Nekonron, China!) - The soundtrack of the first Ranma Movie, with only one vocal "It's Love", the rest being BGM. Go here for all the songs. In wav and mp format.
• Ranma 1/2 Movie 2 Soundtrack (Kessen Tougenkyou! - The Battle of The Grove of Mystic Plums) - Soundtrack of the second movie, with BGM and the ending vocal "A Piece of Love". Go here for all the songs. In wav and mp format.
• Ranma 1/2 OVA and Movie 3 Soundtrack - The soundtracks of the third movie and also various other OVA (the very well drawn Ranma Anime). I'm not sure what this track has; probably BGM and vocal songs. Go here for all the songs. In wav and mp format.
