It's the springtime update.... complete with
Cherry Blossom and NYC pictures

April 14, 2009
Hershel: Ya gotta love the Cherry Blossom Festival. Blue skies, blooming trees and about a million smiling people.
Havi: And, a picnic lunch with friends. Now you are talking!!!
Havi: We went to NYC to visit our cousins, celebrate Passover and celebrate my Nono's birthday. I would tell you how old she is, but that is not polite.
Hershel: She turned 29.
Havi: Hershel, she is your grandmother, how can she be 29? She turned 70.
Hershel: Made ya say it! I told you I could get you to say Nono's age :)
Havi: Anyhow, we went to NY and visited Ellis Island (above) and were amazed by the history of where my great grandparents came to America.
Hershel: Ellis Island, the Lower East Side and the Tenement Museum were good, BUT, the candy store was awesome. They even sold candy that my Dad used to eat, like wax lips, junior mints, zots, pop rocks and more. Oh yes, a true tourist trap!
Havi: My cousins, Elam and Aaron, and I were part of the Passover ceremony.
Hershel: Where am I? I sang, too.
Havi: You took the picture.
Hershel: I knew that.
Havi: The Cherry Blossom Festival included a picnic with our friends. Hershel: See, I took this picture, too.
Havi: Andres, Isa, Roberto and Rocio met us there. We all ate, saw trees and people watched.
Hershel: Trust me, it is so much more fun than Havi describes it.
Hershel: From your high school history class, do you remember the "Separation Stairs" at Ellis Island? Well, here they are. The real ones. The same ones in the history books!!!
Havi: Who is standing behind you and why is she in your picture?
Havi: Mom and Dad went on a "Romantic Getaway Vacation."
Hershel: And this is the picture they want us to show?
Havi: It's just that Dad said the other pictures were not so appropriate for the website.
Hershel: What is that supposed to mean?
Havi: That pictures of oxen are more educational??!?!?!?
