Llavina The Sapphire Mage--
a Sailor Moon Fan fiction.

This story is a parody of the King Arthur Stories
as well as a Sailor Moon Fanfiction.

Here are the cast of characters.

King Arthur-- The same king Arthur from all the stories we know and love. His character isn't satyrical in any way. He is, however, one of the last to find out about anything. He is also having an affair with Knight Veloise, the only female knight at The Rounde Table.

Queen Gwendolyn-- She is a parody of the Arthurian character Queen Gwenfwar. In this story she is a thin, buxom, dippy blonde with an affinity for taffeta and the color pink. She is always preaching to the pagen members of the group about the glories of God. She is self-righteous, condesending, and all around annoying. She is also having an affair with her champion, Prance-a-lot, Lord of Dadance, Knight of the Table Rounde. The female members of the group, those that aren't one of her ladies in waiting, believe that she may be having an affair with some of the other knights as well.

Prance-a-lot, Lord of Dadance-- A HUGE parody on the Sir Lancelot character from Arthurian legend. He is homosexual knight who is sleeping with the queen in order to confirm his masculinity. He wears gaudy clothes with flowing ribbons and is sometimes found prancing daintily on half-toe. He tries overly hard to be brave and is often the cause of one disaster or another. It is because he accidentally killed the wizard Areick in mid spell, that they all wander hopelessly through time, space, and dimension.

Knight Veloise-- This is a character that only appears in Jennifer Johnson's novel. She is King Arthur's champion, lover, and the only female knight at The Rounde Table. Her mouth often gets her into trouble because she has a habit of saying things she shouldn't.

Llavina the Sapphire Mage-- A character unique to the short stories she is the narrator of this story. She is the stilletto-wearing pyromaniac that can insinerate enemies with a though. Queen Qwendolyn is often trying to get her to cover herself more. She is a half-faerie vixen from the 21st Century that has suffered with this time traveling curse long before she met King Arthur's Court.

Priestess Asa-- Another character unique to the short stories she is a Priestess of Athena from Rome. Despite her lady-like appearance, she is in no way weak or flighty, but a kick-butt warrior and long time friend of Llavina.

Druidess Rachel-- Also a character unique to the short stories, she and Llavina make up the missing "Merlin" element to the stories. She is a mysterious druidess that appeared one day and took the postition of court healer.

Areick-- Another character unique to the short stories. He is the ugly, sleazy wizard obsessed with possessing Llavina. He was working with Arthur's enemy, and it is his spell that caused everyone to fall through time and space.

Morbid-- He is a parody of the Mordred character from Arthurian legend. Ilegitimate son of King Arthur and Arthur's sister, he is the commanding general of the enemy forces.

Moreguys-- The enemy. She is a parody of the Mourguase/Morgana character from Arthurian lore. She is the sister of King Arthur and mother of Mordred. She has great passion for black leather, torture devices, and men of all ages, shapes, and creeds.

Elaine-- One of the Queen's clueless ladies in waiting.

The Story

"Get these things off of me!" Queen Gwendolyn

screamed as a flock of tiny winged mouthes intertwined themselves in her hair and clothes. As she flew to her feet, whining and ordering her ladies to help her, everyone watched her in amazement. The more she flapped, the more she attracted the creatures in this barren land. They were bat-like, all mouth and forked tounge, and seemed hypnotized by Gwen's flowing pink silk and peach-colored taffeta. Llavina, Veloise, Asa, Rachel, Arthur, Prance and the knights all stopped their converstations, turning one by one, to watch the queen.

"Always have to be the center of attention,
don't ya Gwen?" Veloise stated with a sigh of annoyance. Arthur and Prance gave the female knight harsh looks.

"This is no way to treat a queen!" Queen Qwendolyn screamed. "Stop chatting and remove these insolent creatures."

Prance jumped to his armor clad feet. "I'll savor...I mean save you My Dea...I mean My Queen!" he announced, sword drawn.

"Don't bother," Llavina yawned.
She snapped her fingers and the winged creatures burst into balls of blue flame. "The situation is under control."

Considering that the creatures were tangled in the queen's hair and clothes, and seeing that taffeta
is highly flammable, the queen quickly became a flaming torch. Gwen screamed as she ran in circles, the air enlarging the flames as it rushed pass her.
Llavina laughed. "Lay down on the ground and roll," she told Gwen, trying to stay serious. "It will put out the flames."

"But I'll get all dirty," the queen whined as she continued to spin, patting her clothes.

Prance ran to his queen on half-toe, as if wearing a pair of armored heels. "I'll save you my queen!" he declared for the second time. He threw himself on top of her and they began to roll around in the sand.

"Now THAT must be a familiar position for those two," Veloise snickered.

Asa gave Llavina a stern look. "Llavina, I thought you learned from OUR last adventure through time that taffeta and fire don't mix."

"Yeah , I know," Llavina admitted. "But I'm not the one wearing it this time." She laughed, but Asa did not. Teasing the queen was one thing, but setting her on fire was quite another. "Okay," Llavina sighed as she made a swift sweeping motion with her right hand. The fire extinguished.

Prance and Gwen continued to roll around, both giggling. Everyone brought their attention back to the pair.
Arthur's jaw dropped.
"You two can stop rolling now," the king stated flatly. "Prance get off of my wife."

Prance jumped to attention. However, even though Gwen remained on the ground, her dress did not.
The leftover, charred, strips of her gown were wedged between the metal plating of Prance's armor. Gwen was now covered with soot and nothing more.

"Yep," Veloise giggled. "Fire and taffeta definately don't mix." Arthur glared at her and Veloise became suddenly serious. Coughing to avoid his gaze she changed the subject. "Tell me Llavina, Did you and Asa know each other before?" She scratched her head in confusion. "Asa mentioned a 'first adventure through time.'"

"You've gone through this before?" Arthur asked. The women in the group sighed. The king was often the last to figure these things out.

"Of course she has," Rachel spoke for the first time in this adventure. "It is her fault were all here."

"I thought it was the queen's boy-toy, I mean champion, that put us in this situation," Veloise stated strongly. "He was, after all, the one who killed the wizard."

"The wizard wouldn't have been there if it weren't for her," Rachel calmly pointed at Llavina, a serpent tattoed arm reaching from the folds of her robes. "He came for you Llavina, isn't that right?"

"Unfortunately, on more than one occassion," she replied with a smirk. "But I never participated."

Everyone groaned at that statement, except for Elaine, one of the queen's ladies,
who was often the last to understand.

"It is hardly her fault that the "Toady Boy" followed her," Asa declared, defending her companion. "She surely didn't encourage him."

Arthur looked annoyed. "Please explain yourself Lady," he sat up straight, trying to show some sign of kingly dignity. "Your healing skills and fighting abilities have been well appreciated, but if you're the cause to our problems..."

"I understand King," Llavina replied simply, leaving out anything that would distinguish him as her soverign. No man ruled over her. "I'll tell you everything you could want to know."

Those within hearing range moved closer and others tried to move within the light of the campfire.

A golden-colored glow seemed to eminate from Llavina. caused by the reflections of the flames off of all the armor. Closing her eyes she concentrated. Soon the fire began to burn a bright blue, affecting everything, including the smoke. While the smoke formed an oval above their heads, Llavina's eyes snapped open, glowing, for an instant, the same brilliant hue as the flames. Within the oval images started to coalese, creating a scene of what was and what will be.
All but Rachel looked up in awe. Never before had Llavina performed an act of magic so great.
Soon the Sapphire Mage began to speak, her voice sounding distant as she dictated the story of the pictures they all gazed upon.
"I came from a world far different
from this one. More than one thousand
years later and a dimension apart from
the court of King Arthur. This is
where my story begins..."
Before them the image of a twenty-first century city appeared. Skyscrapers rose to the heavens
and people rushed around on their daily business. Arthur's eyes opened in awe. "Do all of those castles belong to one king?" Arthur asked, the look on his face speaking of his desire for that one king to be his descendant.

"No!" Llavina answered sharply. "These eyesores are the business skyscrapers of the man's world, an atrocity to nature and harmony." She took a deep breath and smoothed the wrinkles from her face. "They belong to the traders, craftsmen, and landowners." This was the easiest way Llavina saw to describe twenty-first century industry.

"Commoners!" Gwen exclaimed, "and the working class at that--impossible! The kings would never allow it!"

Llavina turned her head slowly and deliberately. The intensity of her glare was mind shattering. "The human kings of my time have no power, they live off of the charity of the people. THEY HAD NO CHOICE!"

Gwen quite noticably jumped at the sudden raise in Llavina's voice.
She was about to say something condescending in reply, but thelook in Llavina's eyes stopped her.
"In my time and space humans
lived in thier world, the faerie folk
in their own. However, rather than
remain hidden, the faerie folk now
ruled over the humans, guiding them
parents would children.
"Under the control of Queen
Tatania and King Oberon, the human
world lived in a golden era of peace.
"Many human children exhibiting
magic talent were placed under the
education of the magic race. Many
mixes between the races occured
because of this. The girl human
hybrids were kept among the
Faerie nation (which is mostly female
anyway) because they often held the
most magical abilities. Male children
were sent back to live with human
families. They were only allowed to
return during the Festival of
Choosing. That is where my troubles
began...

"Are YOU one of these half breeds," Queen Gwendolyn asked in a rather snooty tone, her voice full of superiority.

Llavina took a moment to answer, her face pinched from the annoyance of another interruption. "I have that honor," she finally replied, matter-of-factly. "Both of my parents were half human."

Rachel looked up for a moment. "Why don't you tell them the rest Llavina?" She replied forcefully. "Tell them who you really are."

"What do you mean?" Llavina quered, eyebrow raised in confusion. "I'm Llavina, mage of the sapphire class," she stated proudly. "What more is there to know?"

"Your parentage for one," Rachel mentioned non chalantly. She turned melodramatically towards Llavina, her face barely visable within the shadows of her hood. "Or more importantly your grand-parentage!"

Llavina giggled jovially, her head tilted back as she snorted, coughed, and continued to laugh. "You make it sound like it's a big deal." She took a few calming breaths to slow her breathing. "My mother's mother is Tatania, Queen of the faerie, but many can claim royal heritage. Tatania has about twenty or more half-human children, Oberon does as well."

Everyone seemed shocked by this. "Do you mean they were unfaithful?" Arthur asked looking sharply in the direction of Prance and Gwen.

Seeing Arthur's expression Llavina resumed laughing. "The ideas of fidelity differ from my people to yours. My grandmother and her husband have been divorced and remarried more times than I have fingers and toes to count with. Many of the children they had with other people took place during their mating cycle, but I think they're swingers anyway."

"Swingers?" Veloise asked.

Llavina smiled. "Yeah, you know," she pointed a Gwen as she made a sweeping gesture from Arthur to Prance. "Swing to this guy," her hand arched towards Arthur. "Swing to that guy," Llavina now pointed at Prance. "And that guy, and that guy, and that guy," she said as she pointed to each or the knights in turn. "Both Oberon and Tatania swing from mate to mate whether married or not, mating cycle or not." Llavina sighed. "It's a game they play. I'm not even going to tell you about Uncle Puck's behavior!" She shook her head. "It's all about desire, not morals." She looked around, now truely annoyed. "Are there any more questions before I resume?" The campsite was completely silent. "Good, now I can continue."

"As I was saying, my problems began
at the choosing ceremony, the only time
half-human males and very powerful human
magicians can enter my homeland."
"It was hundreds of years in the
future for you, ten years ago for me,
that I met Areick, that icky man who put
us all in this situation. It was shortly
after my 82nd birthday and I had finally
gone through puberty. Before you guys
interupt me again I will say--yes I'm 92
years old. I know that seems unbelievable
to you, but among my people I'm still
very, very young. the closest equivalent
age I could give would be that I'm ten
years old."

With a flick of her hand, Llavina sent forth a beam of bluelight. Gwen sat petrified as the luminescence
wrapped itself around her mouth and neck. Gwen scratched at her binding, but because it was made of light, her fingers fell through it, her nails leaving marks in her skin.

"I may look like an adult to you, but emotionally I'm still a child. Don't push me!" Llavina shouted. With that, everyone sat an inch or so further back, moving almost simeltaneously.

"As I was trying to say, I had just
reached my first stage of maturity and
was presented to the magic community. It
was an oportunity for me to meet future
mates. Every 25 years after they reach
maturity, give or take a decade, faerie
folk, as I had mentioned before, go
through a mating cycle. At the end of
these cycles, the hormone level of the
individual rises to a point of madness,
driving the afflicted person into the
arms of the nearest member of the
opposite sex. This madness lasts for
years in some cases, but usually ends in
females after a child is produced. Without
this illness, it is very likely that my
people would have died out centuries ago."
"Anyway, the festival I mentioned
before was set up so that eligible members
of the magic society can create bonds and
relationships for years to come. This was
especially important for the female
children who have almost no control over
their emotions during the end of their
first cycle, and will couple with any male,
dispite her disdain for the individual."
"This is where Areick comes in. He and
I met at this festival and from first
glance I was thouroughly revolted. I knew
that much of his uglyness could be blamed
on some sort of akward stage he was going
through, seeing that he was a young,
teenage, human male, but I had a feeling
this wouldn't change in time; I could
easily sence that his putridness was more
than external."
"He came from generations of wizards
that were powerful in the human world,
yet not one member of his family had ever mated into
the bloodlines of my people. He was his
family's latest chance at the prestige
of mixed bloodlines. If he could take a
faerie wife, and if they had children, the
power of his family would be secured
throught the next millenia."
"I remember our first encounter
all too vividly. I walked up to
him, hand outstreched in greeting.
Instead of shaking my hand, he
took my jeweled fingers to his slimy
lips. Sticky, wet, way too lingering,
these were the feelings of my external
defilement. As his eyes, black and
souless, attempted to grasp my vision,
but instead found my cleavage, he smiled
a toothy grin, that wasn't altogether
without charm, and I shuddered inside.
From greasy raven hair, to cheap vinyl
shoes, he was all-in-all a sleazy
individual."
"'So you are La-vine-ah,' his
eyebrow was raised in an expression of
adolescent lust. 'Enchanted. My name is
Areick.'"
"I forcefully snatched my hand from
his. 'My name is Llavina,' I stated
harshly as I wiped my hand on my red
skirts. 'YA-VEEN-AH. Mage of the Ruby
class, daughter of Lady Onyx Khristania
and granddaughter of Tatania'"
"'Whatever,' Arieck resumed his
previous stare at my neckline. 'Ruby
class eh. Very powerful,' he looked up
and smiled again. 'I'd say you are
worthy of my companionship,' he smoothed
back his shortly cropped hair and
extended his arm. 'Will you join me for
a glass of wine?'"
"I knew I shouldn't tease the boy,
but I couldn't help myself. I reached
forward, as if about to take his arm,
then stopped moving as I broke out in
uncontrolable laughter. His pathetic,
pimpled face turned red with
embarrasment."
"'Wine? Aren't you a little young
for that?' I asked through snorts and
chuckles. 'Shouldn't you be drinking
cider from a tip-cup Little Man?'"
"Rapidly his embarrasment changed to
anger. 'Disrespectiful Bi...' he paused,
took a deep breath to keep from
hyperventilating. 'You will be mine! I
will be your master!'"
"Again I laughed. I couldn't help it,
he seemed so serious. 'Whatever,' I
remember yawning as I walked away."
"If only that had been out last
encounter. I would have been more than
happy if I had never seen that creep
again. However, fate, destiny, whatever,
was against me."
"Five years passed. I rose through
the ranks of mages making my way from
ruby to emerald. Some believed that in
ten more years I'd easily make Lady Onyx
standing. I never left the faerie realm,
which guaranteed that I wouldn't see
that jerk. It would've stayed that way
if Tatania hadn't fallen suddenly ill
while in disguise in the human realm.
My family rushed to her side, making
preparations for her to return. She was
separated from Oberon again and it was
my mother's turn to house her. Like a
good daughter I accompanied my mother to
the human world."
"He found me shortly after..."
