Why Me?
In some form or another, I have been asked this question a lot, mostly by people who haven't taken the time to get to know me. If you spend any amount of time on this page, you will see that it is not graphics intensive. There are two reasons.
First, I'd rather have a graphics-poor page that loads fast and has quality content. One of the most boring things on Earth is loading a graphics-rich page...especially if your modem or connection are not in tip-top condition...
...and second, I am not an expert in graphics. When I do the graphics sections of the tutorials, you will note that I will have other people do most of the talking, because they know what they are talking about, and the only thing I really know about the subject is that some of what they say is good advice.
So, people see a graphics-poor page like mine, and assume that the person who built it is a newbie...so who cares what I think.
Well, the people who think that are a bit off the mark. I am not an expert at coding...but I know good code when I see it. I am not a painter, but I can appreciate a work of art. I have taken a pride at being able to see and visualize layouts, and while I can't build them, I know when a person has done a good job and when they just hurriedly threw something together.
So, in short, that is why I am doing tutorials...to impart a small portion of my small knowledge to you, the reader. If these tutorials help ONE person, they have been worth it.
Enjoy!
