Ju no Kata (Forms of Gentleness)

The movements in these forms are, as the name suggests, gentle. The exercises are designed to train one how to manage the body in an emergency and how to employ one's strength most effectively. Because their practice serves to condition the body and teach the concept of ju they are recommended to beginners. There are three sets, each of five techniques.
