Grappling techniques

I've already established that Katame waza are grappling techniques. These techniques are used on the ground or mat, similar to wrestling. An unsuccessful throw usually leads to katame waza. The action is continued until an opponent is held down with osae komi waza(hold down techniques) for 25 seconds. The opponent submits from shime waza(strangling techniques) {only 13 years and older allowed to use}, an opponent submits from kansetsu waza(joint locking technique){only allowed for use by Sankyu and above/Shodan and above in some cases} or finally the action is stalled (neither opponent is able to attack successfully) and the referee calls MATTE!(stop) then brings both opponents back on thier feet and to the center of contest area(shiajo). Katame waza or grappling techniques are based on those of the Tenshin Shin'yo Schhool.
