It's difficult to explain how my Druid works without letting you try one out for yourself. I decided to take a few screenshots of my UI layout and button configuration of my Druid. Before I get started, here is a screenshot of all the characters that I play. ![]() This picture shows the general layout of my UI. The screenshot was taken in one of our UBRS runs a few weeks ago. The CT-Raidassist that I have setup, stacks the parties closely together in the top left corner. I personally like a lot of open space so I try to keep the middle as free of clutter as possible. You might also notice that I have odd number parties at the top and even number parties at the bottom. I did this on purpose because it helps me sort columns one and two easier. The toolbar on the right hand side helps me quickly switch my trinkets depending on the situation. When you switch trinkets, it will only replace the top trinket with the one you click. If you want to switch out the bottom one, you will have to create an item swap macro to specifically target that item slot. The buffs on this side bar is used for when I help out lower level guildies. I replace these frequently depending on the level of the person I'm helping. Finally, onto the hotbar (or belt as I like to call it). This screeny shows belt one, which happens to be my offensive belt as well. When I play my Druid, I like to click portraits and press the spells according to their hotkey. This makes it much faster than using just the mouse in my opinion. In a way, I think it's even faster than just using all hotkeys also, because you can move the mouse and toggle belts at the same time. I like to keep my frequently used spells in the 1-5 button range. You'll notice that I have two moonfire spells in my toolbar. The one in slot 2 is my totem destroyer: level 2 Moonfire. While the one in slot 3 is my level 10 Moonfire. ![]() This picture shows belt two; or my restorative belt. MOTW is less frequently casted so I like to put it in the most distant place along with thorns. Slot 0 is reserved for my Abolish Poison, slot 9 for Cure Curse. Going back to slot 1, I have my Healing Touch, Rejouvination, Regrowth and Nature's Swiftness in a left to right order. The two Rebirth (or battle rez) spells that I have are for different occations. The one in slot 6 is my level 1 Rebirth used to revive someone out of combat when no Priest or Paladin is in sight. The one in slot 7 is my full blown Rebirth used in the heat of combat. This restores the maximum amount of Hp and Mp for a specified target. There are two other important spells which are not displayed. Innervate is located in belt 3 slot 3. I did this so that I can Shift+3 to change to belt three; then either Alt+3 to self cast if I have someone targeted or just press 3 to Innervate a specific target. Another spell that is worth mentioning is Barkskin. This instant, self-cast spell reduces damage taken and melee combat slowed by 20%. It also causes spells to be uninterupted by damage but non-instant cast spells to take a 0.1 second cast time penalty. Normally in a raid, I will not use this spell because even a 0.1 second delay may mean life or death. The few times you'll see me use this is when I am being attacked and need to get a heal off on the tank, or I'll use this first before Tranquility. The nature of Tranquility is a HoT (Heal over Time) spell; but because it is channeled, any damage will cause me to stop the healing. Barkskin lasts only 15 seconds so it overlaps Tranquility quite well. Following the same pattern as Innervate, I put Barkskin in belt 4 slot 4. Just for fun, I decided to post a few pictures from our Molten Core runs. They show the entire layout I have for my 8 group ct-raid setup. As you can see, 8 groups takes up a lot of room, but I mannaged to squish it all in the left corner so that I can still see in the middle. ^_^ ![]() ![]() |
