Deadmines
(From www.worldofwarcraft.com): Once the greatest gold production center in the human lands, the Dead Mines were abandoned when the Horde razed Stormwind city during the First War. Now the Defias Brotherhood has taken up residence and turned the dark tunnels into their private sanctum. It is rumored that the thieves have conscripted the clever goblins to help them build something terrible at the bottom of the mines - but what that may be is still uncertain. Rumor has it that the way into the Deadmines lies through the quiet, unassuming village of Moonbrook.

[22] The Defias Brotherhood (Alliance)
Where: Gryan Stoutmantle, by the entrance to the tower in Sentinel Hill, in Westfall.
When: Level 14.
What: These are actually several quests chained together. Talk to Wiley the Black in Redridge, in the upper floor of the inn at Lakeshire. Return to Gryan Stoutmantle. Talk to Mathias Shaw in Stormwind, in the SI:7 portion of Old Town. Return to Gryan once again. Find and kill a Defias Messenger in Westfall. The Messenger spawns in Moonbrook and follows the road up to Jangolode Mine, making a stop at Gold Coast Quarry. The best way to find him is to start at Jangolode Mine, and follow it south. If you don't see him by the time you reach Moonbrook, just keep an eye on the road and he should spawn within 10 minutes.
Return the message to Gryan, then escort a Defias Traitor to the entrance of the Deadmines. The Traitor is a few feet away, down the steps of the tower. If he's not there, someone has just started the quest, so wait 5 minutes and he'll be back. He starts off running, so make sure you keep up with him. When he gets close to Moonbrook he slows to a walk, and you must keep him alive from any defias attackers. This is best done in a group, but at any given time Moonbrook is usually already clear, so you can do this solo. When you reach the barn you will complete the quest, and you can return to Gryan for the final step. At this point, you can also obtain "Red Silk Bandanas" from Scout Riell.
Now you must kill the boss of the Deadmines, Edwin VanCleef. He is level 21 and waits at the very end of the instance. Refer to the Dock details for information on how to fight VanCleef.
Why: A choice of Chausses of Westfall or Tunic of Westfall or Staff of Westfall
