Confessor Raymond Shalek

Here is the gun-toting Confessor's rules that go with the new mini I put up in the conversions page. Keep in mind that I have yet to playtest him, as I have just made a model for him, and the last time I playtested something (Oliver, you know) it wasn't all that great. Maybe once I get my Guard up and running I will let him use my SOBs so I can see if things are too powerful/weak/balanced.

Oh, I also wrote up a nice little story to go with him, but I still have somethings to work out with it. So that will be up soon too.

Confessor Raymond Shalek (95 points)

Special Character: May be taken as a single HQ choice, and must be used as described below. No additional wargear may be given to him.

Wargear: Rosarius, Pistols of Confessor Raymond Shalek

Special Rules:

Pistols of Confessor Raymond Shalek: The ornate pistols that Shalek wields are his personal pride and joy. Has has used these two pistols since his first battle on Aylon, a hive world plagued by Chaos. The pistols count as having two pistols (so he gains +1 attack in close combat for having two close comabt weapons) with the followigs stats:

Shalek never counts as movig, so he may fire up to two shots at 24", or 4 shots up to 12".

Master Gunfighter: Having used his ornate pistols since the time he began working for the Imperium, Shalek has grown to be a highly skilled gunfighter that knows his pistols and how to shoot them. Shalek may re-roll all misses in shooting. Also, if you roll a 6 to wound with his pistols, the shot hits the enemy dead center, in the head, killing it out-right. No saves may be taken against this. (Invulnerable saves may be taken as normal. However, if the saves are failed then the model is killed out-right as if they were wounded by a weapon with a Strength twice it's Toughness).

Sacred Rites: Confessor Raymond Shalek may take part in Sacred Rites. He adds +3 to his dice roll.

Fearless: Confessor Raymond Shalek is fearless, and any squad he leads is also fearless.

Inspiring: Any squad within 12" of Shalek may use his LD for any morale/pinning tests they take.

Independant Character: Shalek follows the Independant Character rules in the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook.
