On his throne, DeMonStar watched with great concern. He was first notified of a disturbance when a number of his nano-probes were destroyed by an unknown assailant with magical powers. "Computer," he commanded, "Playback last recordings on subject."

The viewscreen revealed an empty alleyway of Khazan. DeMonStar watched as a circle of fire appeared and a young boy emerged. He listened to the voice as the probes were destroyed.
"Using old tricks again, Officer Hart? You never learn."
So, this boy thinks my probes were someone else's, DeMonStar thought. Although my secrecy is preserved, I am uneasy about this child.
"Computer, give me information about this child."
Analyzing…Analysis inconclusive. Subject is not known in database.
"So, this little one is a new player to the scene."
Estimates on identity of subject ready to commence. Ready to commence?
"Go on. Try to guess this person's identity, computer."
WARNING! WARNING! Threat Level Three confirmed!
As the alarms went off, DeMonStar grew ever concerned as to the unknown child. "What is the threat, computer?"
Estimates 90% of identity of subject. Subject, Z-Mage.
"Who is this, Z-Mage, computer, and why is he designated as a Class Three Threat?"
Subject may be responsible for destruction of universes 295.991, 874.10083, and planets..
"Silence, computer, I get the gist of it."
DeMonStar sat in silence. This child was capable of destroying universes? Unheard of! Whatever power this "Z-Mage" had, DeMonStar wanted to know of. However, before he got a chance to breathe, the claxons sounded off again.
WARNING! WARNING! Threat Level One confirmed! Repeat, Threat Level One confirmed!
"For the Maker! A Level One? Computer, who and where is the Level One Threat?" DeMonStar grew worried as not only a Level Three Threat was close by, but now a Level One Threat as well.
Level One Threat confirmed as being known as Magus.
The Magus! DeMonStar heard rumors during his journeys of a being of great evil. Is this the same Magus that he had heard of?
"Where is Magus, computer?"
Magus is located on War World. Visual and audio data retrieved. Ready to accept?
"Yes computer, play the data."
As DeMonStar stood, what he saw and heard on the viewscreen chilled him to the bone. The Magus did exist, and was the cause for the War World attack on Khazan. As he gloated to a prisoner, he revealed a plan to destroy all of reality, and then remake it in his image.
DeMonStar grew aware the hairs on his arms withdrawing, forming what was called goosebumps. To allow this Magus to destroy all before he could achieve his goals of perfection? Impossible! The time to watch was over! The time for action was now!
"Computer, take us to War World. Ready the planet energy shields, the weapon batteries, and all available Aero-Drones."

As the planet moved, DeMonStar planned for attack. He know that, in order to have a greater chance for success, allies were called for.
"Computer, give me data on all known heroes currently on Khazan."

As the lists grew, DeMonstar soon noticed a pattern. Some of these beings were suddenly translocated to another location. He ordered his nano-probes to locate these characters, and continued to visualize battle strategy.
