During the Age of the Successionist Empires, Karming was the center for a tremendous nation stretching from the Western Ocean to the Crystal Myst Mountains and from the Dangaard mountains to present-day Zakhar. After the empire’s resources were devastated in the War of the Successionist Empires, the fringe lands began to break off, and in 622 Fd, Sancerre, Shennendam, Faldaea (present-day Abbysinia), and Medinine all declared their independence, dealing a great blow to the empire.

1187 Fd - Greenseve Massacre

Politics: Karming was originally (and nominally still is) an empire, ruled by the Emperor of the Marvent. After Emperor Timitrios Spartakos died heirless in 875 Fd, right around the same time as … seceded from the Empire, a junta of major nobles siezed power, claiming to be waiting for the next Emperor. However, these …Lords of the Council; headed by the High Lord of the Marvent. The rulers of the Districts in the old Empire were Patricians. When the four Lords of the Council were killed in the Greenseve Massacre, High Lord Jeraeme had the full support of the military immediately, to quell any civil disturbances. Many high political positions are filled with military officers and the officer cadre is very loyal to High Lord Jeraeme.
