Kammerander was a beautiful country of rolling hills and secluded vales until the Dark Wars. It grew rich on the trade from Pummelford to Cam Malvern, but even its wealth could not stop its betrayal and destruction in 1180. The Lord Chancellor, Lord Timison, who had large gambling debts, started embezzling money from the Treasury, and betrayed the eastern forts to the Witchlord to guarantee his escape. When Lord Baron Karthas rallied his troops to Kammerander's defense, he found his Treasury empty. Thus Kammerander could not hire the mercenary reinforcements it so direly needed. The royal court fled to Klandelberg after Eastfair fell, and the Witchlord had the country firmly in his control by 1181. Mensel Moldrau was razed, and most of the population was killed, starved, or enslaved to work on the Witchlord's devious projects.
Geography: Kammerander is located between the Dangaard Mountains of southern Cassenddy and the Waalridges of the Swordslands. This picturesque nation has one main valley drained by the Black Fork of the River Falen. The Lokenwald Forest covers southwestern Kammerander, while a major mining district centered around Magdeberg is in a seperate seculded valley in the northwest. Middle Pass is on the road to Cam Malvern and Grey Pass is on the road to Pummelford.
History: 447 Pd - founding of the great Issacharite city of Coerenys
768-790 Fd - occupation of Kammerander by Cassenddy
1156 Fd - Kammerander described as the richest country in the Northlands in Sergei Schiller's Journeys of an Inquisitive Traveler 1180-1 Fd - Dark Wars; humanoid armies capture Kammerander
1180 Fd - The Battle of Kaffigen was a complete rout of Gundwall's 1st Pikemen when Gundwall came in too overconfident.
1180 Fd - The first major town that the Witchlord reached, Felsberg was attacked shortly after Gundwall's rout. Adelhardt's 2nd Light Horse helped cover the retreat from this town after their position became untenable.
Politics: There is no order in the country, humanoids sweep across the land and pillage, rape and destroy.
