Rain showers
Sprinklin' down
On my head they fall
I can't stay dry at all
Rain showers
Fall on the fields
Oh I wouldn't mind
If it weren't harvest time
The grey clouds make me wanna stay in bed
'Cause I can't get out and tend my crops instead
My ol' John Deere is sittin' idly by
And I feel so useless, man I wanna cry
Old farmers
Down at the barber shop
They spit and cuss
The rain makes such a fuss
Can't say
What would be worse right now
To float away
Or bake my brain all day
'Cause the rain is refreshin', that I can't deny
But it's odd to be soakin' in the mid-July
As it pours on down, I get a terrible though
That my wheat's gonna drown, or almost certainly rot
Guitar break
Rain showers
Fifty percent chance
They'll fall today
Why won't they go away?
Rain showers
Too much too late
Been comin' down since May
Right now it's fallin' on my hay
