Lamia, Lillith and the Cappadocians

Something I was wondering about: In the "Revelation of the Dark Mother" sourcebook the followers of Lillith are presented as immortal enemies of the children of Caine, but the Lamia seem to be loyal servants of the Cappadocians. Why ? Is there more information about their connection in some DA sourcebooks I'm missing ? In the Giovanni Chronicles it is noted that Cappadocius believed Lillith to an equal to Jehova, which suggests that his knowledge of Lillith lore was pretty accurate. Interestingly, the Caps are not among the clans to be spared from Lilliths revenge (which would be the Toreador and Nosferatu).

Btw, the "Rite of Caine" described in the Revelations could be interpreted as a(nother) prophecy of Gehenna. Think about the implications of this...
