[06:04]:Sir [bat]: aww.. the start is so unlike star trek
[06:04]:Welwood [bat]: make me a movie file
[06:05]:Garok [bat]: it'll be on again prolly this weekend
[06:05]:Silea [bat]: like 8 times no doubt
[06:05]:Welwood [bat]: damnit I wanted to see that
[06:05]:Sir [bat]: no monologue by the captain
[06:05]:Silea [bat]: but GOD i hope they change that opening theme...i want
the full orchestra with brass backup...
[06:05]:Garok [bat]: the monologue is coming :)
[06:05]:Silea [bat]: monologue? nnnooooo!
[06:05]:Silea [bat]: i want hot chicks and violence!
[06:05]:Roark [bat]: there's plenty of it
[06:06]:Silea [bat]: that building blowing up was nice, i hope there's more of
that
[06:06]:Dreamr [bat]: you sound like a man silea
[06:06]:Garok [bat]: "The phaser has two settings: Stun and Kill.. I suggest
you learn the difference between them"
[06:06]:Silea [bat]: er...maybe...but this is star trek. it's about new and
interesting ways to blow things up.
[06:06]:Silea [bat]: hey! don't ruin it!
[06:06]:Roark [bat]: "stun seems to work" (of course, he only said that AFTER
he fired and checked to see what setting it was on)
[06:06]:Roark [bat]: heh
[06:07]:Welwood [bat]: space.....really fucking big......this is the shit we
did........fucked strange new broads.....killed interesting aliens........we
went where only 12 other shows have gone before!
[06:07]:Silea [bat]: as the series spawned and progressed, less and less sex
happened. so if this is before the Kirk era, captain bakula should never get
out of bed...
[06:08]:Welwood [bat]: he will pilot the ship with his joystick
[06:08]:Silea [bat]: his ship runs win 3.x?
[06:08]:Garok [bat]: Dos 3.0 :)
[06:09]:Silea [bat]: ack, where's his dorky hologram friend?
[06:09]:Welwood [bat]: the enterprize was not windows, it took them 10 mins to
blow the whole ship up, I cant even get windows to close in that time
[06:09]:Garok [bat]: dammit ensign, I said edlin, not attrib!
[06:09]:Roark [bat]: it'll crash that fast though
[06:10]:Welwood [bat]: well the point is to stay up until you decide to crash,
if the ship was run on batserver the mission would've lasted 12 hours max then
it would reboot in the middle of space and crash just as everyone went to
their station
[06:11]:Welwood [bat]: and dont get me started on the queue to get back onto
the ship after it crashed, I dont know about you but 2 hours outside an
airlock for the chance to get on board and crash doesnt seem like something
you'd sign up for
[06:14]:Roark [bat]: but what about when you'd take a step to evacuate, freeze
in place for 1-2 minutes, while the rest of the ship crashes around you, and
then you can take a few more steps
[06:14]:Roark [bat]: obviously, it's a time folding thing
[06:24]:Sir [bat]: wow, movie format.. wide screen
[06:24]:Welwood [bat]: dont tell me damnit
