| Background: Gubert's family were mushroom farmers, but not very successful. Although they had enough to get by, they were not wealthy. Gubert has two older brothers who help tend the mushrooms and a younger sister. As a boy Gubert used to wander through out the Hobbit Hills and try to get handouts by looking pitiful. He soon became wealthier than his hard working family, and they began to distrust him. Before tensions escalated beyond control, Gubert took his wealth and travelled to Middleton to seek a real fortune. Shortly after arriving in Middleton Gubert found a Halfling field hand beaten nearly to death and took pity on him. |
