| The World is Filled With Magic |
| Everything in the world of Thera is filled with magical energy. Those who can see patterns within that energy and figure out how to harness it are known as mages. Others can sometimes link there own magical energy to that of another item and the two together can accomplish marvelous tasks. Or even learn how to harness their own magical energy into specific skills and talents. Mages focus distinct energy patterns into tokens, and then use those tokens to cast specific spells. Each token contains a number of focal points, and can hold a number of spells equal to the number of focal points. |

| There are seven schools of accepted magic in the Thallian empire, Thaumaturgy, Life Magic, Illusion Magic, Fire Magic, Water Magic, Air Magic and Earth Magic. There are also two schools of magic that are forbidden in maistream society, but continue to exist through secret organizations through out the Empire. Death Magic, and Telepathy. Most people within the Thallian empire consider Necromancy too disreesepctful, and Telepathy to immoral. |
