Hello everyone. My name is Norma, born August 16, 1949. I live in Dallas with my husband, my eighteen year old daughter Alicia (the youngest of five), and a menagerie of animals including a 200 gallon fresh water tank full of neat fish, 15 cats, and a hamster. I do animal rescues, and work with a group called second chance cats, and kittens, thus the high number of cats. :)

I purchased a Furby last Spring for my mother (79 yrs.), to give as a gift to my granddaughter. Mom hates to shop. Go figure. She took it out of the box to try it out before wrapping it, and fell in love with it, quickly informing me that I must purchase another one as a gift since she intended to keep and play with this one. :) Well, I picked myself up a Furby while I was at it just to see what all the fuss was about, and was instantly hooked.

I have forty seven adult Furby's, eighteen Babies, the entire set of McDonald Furby's with tons of extras, 12 Buddies, lots of Furby miscellaneous, and two gizmos.

As for the Furby names, I look every Furby over carefully to see what they remind me of. Some have obvious scale patterns, so you know they are some kind of reptile, others have markings or fur textures and patterns reminiscent of birds, fish, insects or animals. Let's face it , it is more fun to talk about a spotted canary, than a yellow one with spots. :)
