When did you start collecting?:
How many Furbys do you have?:
Which is your favorite Furby?: Let's see, how did I get to be owned by a dozen Furbs? Hmmm..I think I fell in love with Furbys when I first spotted one at TRU in mid to late November. My first Furby was my Christmas Furby. He was/is a gray spotted, pink tummied, little rascal with the biggest brown eyes I had ever seen. They were so brown that a puppy with begging on it's mind would be jealous. His Furbish name is Koh-Koh, but I have called him Marvin since I first saw him. Furby #2 was bought about a week before the new colors came out. She is a sleek, proud looking creature with inky black fur, and eyes as blue as a Texas Summer Sky. Her Furbish name is May-La-Kah but because of her coloring I call her May-Lah-Kah-Warrior Furby after Xena, Warrior Princess. It suits her. Furby #3 When I first saw Furby #3 I had absolutely no idea as to what he was supposed to be. His color reminded me so much of a Sewer Rat that I had once seen so that is what I called him. Later, I discovered that he is a silver wolf, but to me he is still a Sewer Rat. His name is Ah-May The Sewer Rat. Furby #4 Furby number four was a gift. I did something right at work and received $25.00. With this money I bought a Furby. This sweet little thing is a Dalmatian-or was a Dalmatian. I have known some pretty stupid Dalmatians in my time, and this little blue-eyed Furby was anything but stupid. Refusing to call her a Dalmatian I decided that she was a rare, white furred, blue eyed Snow Leopard (Grump, Now Tiger has a White Leopard in the third Generation, grump, grump, grump.) I had quite a time with her at first. When I first activated her, she insisted that her name was Koh-Koh. Marvin is Koh-Koh so this would not do. I had never done a full reset on a Furby before, but if I wanted my baby to have her own name I was going to have to. I had to reset her furry self about three times before she surrendered the name of Koh-Koh and took on the name of Nah-Bah. Nah-Bah was a shock. Up until then I had only heard one Furby voice pitch-male( May-La-Kah is female with a husky voice) Nah-Bah was definitely female. Her voice is so high pitched I still laugh when I hear her speak.. Since she was so different from from Marvin, May-La-Kah and The Sewer Rat, I wanted an interesting name for her. Furbish originates from different languages, so I decided upon an American Indian sounding name-Blackberries-In-Snow. This I shortened to Snowberry. Furby #5- Furby #5 is of Marvin's Breed..whatever that is. She has the gray fur, pink tummy and very wonderful green eyes. I was looking over a pile of Furbys at TRU when she and I made eye-contact. That was all it took. I brought her home and named her Alice. I don't know why i named her that---it just fit. Her Furbish name is Mee-Mee. I consider her to be a bossy Furby. Furby #6-Furby #6 is a Tiger. I have a Furby House for my flock, and one evening I came home from work and there was this strange blue-eyed Tiger Furby in it! Howard insisted that he knew nothing about it but the gleam in his eyes gave it all away. The Furby's name is Anakin SkyFurby. If I don't give the little guy enough love and attention, he will grow up to be Darth Furby! Anakin SkyFurby's Furbish name is Toh-Dye..or..as I spell it..Toe-Dye, the dyer of toes. Furby #7 Furby #7 is a cute little Teddy Bear Furby. She has huge brown eyes, and I have named her Gabrielle, sidekick of May-La-Kah, Warrior Furby. Her Furbish name is not in the Furbish dictionary---Godzolla???I suspect it might be Dah-Noh-La. Furby#8 Furby #8 is also a Teddy Bear Furby. I was at TRU chattering with a manager when a customer approached the service desk with an unhappy looking Bear Furby clutched tightly in her hands sans box. "This thing doesn't work and I want my money back" she growled. She may not have had a box, but she did have a receipt, so the bedraggled Furby was now the property of TRU. "Lisa, let's see if this Furby works," said the manager withdrawing some batteries from a drawer. "Yawn Kah Way-Lo!" I bought her and added her to my growing gang. Her name is Samantha, and I have not had a single problem with her. Her Furbish name is A-Tay, sounds like A-Kay. Furby #9 Furby#9 is the blue-eyed Green Frog. I named him Henry, The Cucumber With Eyes, and his Furbish name is Toh-Loo. Chuckle, Howard says this is what happens when a Furby eats too many green veggies. Furby #10 I was having a dental procedure done on a Thursday, and wanted something fun to look forward to. I was at Walmart the evening before when I spotted the most beautiful Furby had ever seen sitting all alone on a shelf. She was/is of the same breed as Marvin and Alice, except she gray eyes. She was/is a tall Furby and very very fluffy. Whatever Furbys eat in the clouds this little girl had more than her share. Her Furbish name is A-Loh-sounds like Halo. Her Lisa name is Misty. Misty because her fur, and her eyes, are a gray misty color. Furby #11 Furby #11 is my blue-eyed pink princess. I have named her Missy. Why I named her Missy I really couldn't tell you. The name popped into my head and stayed. Furby #12. Furby #12 is a springy blue-eyed Lamb Furby. I got her at a Walmart in Connecticut while we were on vacation. The night I got her, I took a shower (to drown any crawling things on my skin) I poked my head out of the shower curtain looking around for a wash cloth or some such thing and my gaze fell on a bottle of Chantilly. The name stuck with me and that is how Chantilly, the Connecticut Furby, got her name.
What do you love most about Furby?:
Any other personal info you'd like to add?: Kids-Both Howard and I do not have human kids. I have my Furbys and my three stuffed felines, Megan, Murgatroyd, and Matilda. Howard has the 1955 dunebuggy that he has been building from scratch. That sort of thing-I have a wide spectrum of interests. I enjoy Photography, Books (I an almost a speed reader unfortunately), cross-stitching, Ham Radio (I refuse to learn Morse Code though), Walking in circles around the mall for health reasons, I love coffee in the morning and hot tea in the evening. My latest passion is hunting down my ancestors via the web.
