Trials of Destiny Walkthrough When you begin the game at episode 1, you'll see the introducing cutscene which explains the story. In it, we meet the current king of Iconoclast who has a dream where he sees Valkereye, the Dark Master. Falling under a trance under the Dark Master's power, the king frees Raven Dark from his prison in Pandora's Amethyst. Next we meet, Vincent Valiant Orbison, our hero. He returns home from work at the stables of Calebcolast when he discovers that his home has been burnt to the ground, and his grandparents dead. The next morning, the stables have also been burnt down, and his employer, Mr. Thomason, dying. That night, Vincent has a dream where he meets Caleb, and discovers that he is Caleb's only remaining descendant! Caleb tells Vincent to take what he finds in his tomb to prepare for his journey. Shortly after arriving in Iconoclast, Vincent meets Estellarina(Estella), the princess of Iconoclast who left the castle walls. She and Vincent become friends and she takes him to see her father, the king. The king however believes Vincent to be an outsider, sent by his enemies to overthrow him, and has him thrown into the dungeon. However, Estella convinces her father to release him and prove himself an ally. The king issues Vincent the task of purifying the realm's waters. The source is at the "Spring of Life", a temple in the kingdom of Naphorphia. Thus, Vincent's journey begins. ****************************************************************************** Hills of Iconoclast You begin outside the village gates. Walk to your right to find Body Armour. Now follow the path to the bridge, but head to your left to find a Tommy gun behind a waterfall. Now head to your right, following the stream, to find another waterfall. Search the corpse to find some ammo. Return to the path and follow it until you get to another corpse near a small well. Search the body to find some more weapons. Kill the zombies in the next area and walk forth until you reach a waterfall. Climb up the rocks and grab the Doctor's Bag. Enter the area to your left and follow the path, killing any zombies you encounter. Behind some trees in the next area, you'll find two drums of bullets. Follow the path to your right. Plateau of Decay Search the body and jump into the lake. Go forth and jump up onto the soil. Go left, killing the zombies in your path. Jump up onto the rocks and enter the cavern. Search the two corpses and destroy the zombies. Enter the passage to find some Boots of Jumping, but get rid of the bats with the voodoo doll, which is the best weapon to use against them. Exit the cavern and fall down the waterfall. Destroy the zombies in this area and search the corpses. Use the Boots of Jumping to climb the rocks near the waterfall to find Beast Vision. Dive into the water near the waterfall and make sushi out of the fish. Surface in the next area and go forth, destroying the zombies in your path. Go left to enter another small cave. Kill the bats and jump outside onto the rocks. You'll find the Napalm Launcher nearby on some rocks. Enter the next area and kill the zombies. Go right until you find another path to yet another cavern. Jump on the upper ledge and follow it until you find Guns Akimbo. Destroy any bats you see and exit down the path. Follow it until you come to an area with cliffs and a bridge. Search any bodies you find along the way. One of the zombies here drops a Life Seed. Go past the rocks and climb up until you reach the bridge. Cross it and destroy the statue you see. This will open up a nearby cavern. Drop down on some rocks nearby to find some Basic Armour. Kill the gillbeasts and enter the opening in the rocks. Naphorphia Cliffs Grab the TNT and the Voodoo Doll. Get rid of the bats and enter the opening. Let the stupid rats burn themselves in the lava. Jump into the next area and kill the hellhound. Smash the statue. Return to the previous area. Another opening has formed. Grab any ammo and enter the new passage. Kill the bats, zombies, and hellhounds in this area. Grab any ammo and destroy the statue in a nearby cave. Return to the previous area and exit the cavern. Jump onto the nearby cliff with the trees and make your way through them until you find the Napalm Launcher. Jump down onto the river, but be careful not to fall off. Grab the ammo you find on the rocks and kill any zombies. Jump onto the ground to your right and throw TNT down the cliffs to destroy the zombies and gillbeasts. Jump across the cliffs and you'll find a medicine pouch on top of a rock. Jump onto the cliff with the trees and walk forth. Grab the gasoline can and flares. Carefully, make your way down the cliffs. Look down to find a rocky path connecting to the ground. Carefully follow it down until you reach the ground. Kill the gillbeasts and go behind the waterfall to find a key and the a chest containing a sapphire. Go back up. Enter the passage and destroy the zombies and gillbeasts. Kill the bloated butcher standing near the entrance of the Spring of Life and open the door. The Spring of Life Kill the cultist and open the door. Kill the cultist to get some TNT. Open the next door and nuke the enemies. Go outside and jump down the cliffs. Kill the zombies and gillbeast. Flip the switch and jump back up. Re-enter the temple. Go through the opened gates and jump onto the altar. Push on the pedestal. ****************************************************************************** Successfully completing his first task, Vincent is hailed by the people of Naphorphia for his deed. After a feast with King Edgar, Vincent meets Alucada, a former princess with the power to see the future. Vincent sees himself battling an army of demons. Then he encounters Valkereye. Alucada returns Vincent to Iconoclast. In the castle, Vincent is rewarded by being given a place to stay. Despite his courage, Vincent finds a critic in the king's vizier. Visited in his room by Estella, Vincent promises to meet her on the balconey tower. That night, he has a dream where he meets Valkereye, but for some mysterious reason, Vincent keeps his sanity. He wakes up at the crack of dawn and visits Estella. After spending some time with her, Vincent is summoned by the king. His second task is to go to the kingdom of Tamirtania and rid the kingdom of a plague of gargoyles. Valirus, the king's captain of the guard again escorts him out of the castle to begin his next mission. Vincent journeys to the valley surrounding the kingdom of Iconoclast and prepares for the next phase of his journey. ****************************************************************************** Valley of Famine Grab the spray cans and burn the zombies. Jump onto the rocks ahead and enter the cavern. Kill the gillbeast. Grab the Tommy gun and ammo in the next chamber and kill the cultist. Grab the Voodoo Doll. Use it to eliminate the bats. Walk down the steps past the waterfall and go outside. Kill the zombies, grab the TNT, and smash the statue. This will open up a chamber in the previous cavern. Grab the Napalm Launcher. Return to the cavern and go up the steps. An opening has formed. Go through and jump across to the cliff. Nuke the zombies and walk across the ledge to an area with a waterfall. Enter the area to your left to find some spray cans. Go behind the waterfall to find some armour. Grab the Guns Akimbo in the next passage and jump down the hole. Walk into the forest, killing any zombies and gillbeasts. In the forest, you'll find a shrine, but if you take the time to explore the area, you'll find a Tommy gun, Shotgun, ammo, TNT, and a Doctor's Bag. Walk up the steps to the shrine and the gates will open. Enter the shrine and touch the tree. Tamirtania Forest Grab the spray cans, be careful not to pick up any mushrooms. Kill the zombies and follow the passage to an area with a waterfall. You'll find some more spray cans near the waterfall, and another one behind a tree. Walk forth, killing any zombies. Eventually, you'll come to a passage. Use your map to locate it. Make your way through until you come to a sleeping zombie guarding a key. Kill him and grab the key. If you took the time to explore the forest, you'll find some Proximity and Remote bombs, Beast Vision, and plenty of ammo. In a clearing near the exit, you'll find Super Armour. When you reach the end of the forest, cultists will be waiting to ambush you. Get rid of them and open the gates. ****************************************************************************** Vincent arrives at the village of Tamirtania, ruled by the young queen Anya. He informs her of his task and she allows him to continue past the gates to the surrounding mountains. ****************************************************************************** Minstrel Caverns Grab any ammo you find and get rid of the bats. Grab the Tommy gun and a Shotgun on a nearby cliff. Now go to the cliffs to your right and look down. You'll find a steep rock that you can climb down. Jump down to the stream and get rid of any zombies. Grab the ammo you find and follow the stream into a cavern. Make your way through, destroying any zombies and eliminating pesky bats. Go to the area to your right and you'll find a large area with a statue. Go down the steps, get rid of the zombies, and smash the statue. Return to the previous room and you'll find that a passage has opened up. Kill the rats inside and go forth. Walk outside the cavern and jump down to the pit of lava. Kill the zombies and jump across the lava pool to get the key. Go back up the rocks and you'll find yourself on the opposite cliff. Make your way across and jump across another pile of rocks to reach another cliff. Kill the cultist and make your way across the ledge carefully. Kill the zombies, cultist, bats, and rats in the next area. Walk across the bridge and kill the cultists and fat zombie. Open the door. Tomb of the Bard King Walk forth and grab the ammo. Open the door and kill the guards. Grab the Spirit Armour and Guns Akimbo. When you step before the door, a mysterious voice will challenge you. It's Chaos, Cheogh's descendant, and he wants revenge for what Caleb did to Cheogh one thousand years ago. When the door opens, open fire on him and his gargoyle legions. In the pool in this room, you'll find a Life Seed. When Chaos takes enough damage, he'll retreat. ****************************************************************************** With the gargoyles gone, Vincent returns to Tamirtania to report his success to Anya. He learns from Anya that she senses that Valkereye, the Dark Master may soon return to the world of mortal's. She had a dream where she saw the demon himself, but she retained her sanity. Her husband was not so lucky. After returning to the castle of Iconoclast, Vincent is again welcomed with open arms. His skills have earned him the respect of the vizier. Invited to a feast with the king, Vincent meets Murlock, the wizard who granted Estella her healing powers. After another meeting with Estella, where Vincent once again sees her gifted power, Vincent prepares to turn in for the evening. In his dreams, Vincent once again comes face to face with Valkereye, who refers to Vincent, as the "Chosen One". The next morning, after spending some more time with Estella, Vincent is summoned by the king. It's time for his third task. Vincent must journey to the kingdom of Arcanius, climb Apollo's Mountain, enter the Temple of Light at the summit, and retrieve the sword of Iconoclast. The king has heard rumours of Valkereye reviving, and he wants to be prepared. Vincent journeys into the kingdom of Arcanius, into a desolate wasteland. ****************************************************************************** Desolate Wasteland Grab the Flare gun and gasoline can, then jump down to the swamp. Grab the spray cans near the water fall and burn the zombies in the next area. Destroy the statue. Return to the start and jump up the rocks to an opening in the rocks. Enter and grab the Voodoo Doll nearby. Drop down and walk forth. Avoid the explosion. Destroy the bats and jump outside. Avoid the next explosion and enter the openening. Destroy the statue and go outside. Jump up onto the steep rocks and enter the cave. Follow the path until you get to another statue. Smash it. Drop down and you'll see that a cave has opened. Enter it. Inside, grab any ammo you find and destroy any enemies. Follow the passage and exit outside. Kill the cultists and follow the ledge into an opening. Drop down into the next area. Carefully make your way down and jump across the ledge. Grab any items and ammo you find while killing any zombies. Eventually, you'll come up to some rocks. Climb them and grab the ammo. Shoot the statue you see on a cliff and go back down. Follow the ledge and you'll come across a hole in the ground drop down. Kill the bats and hellhounds in the next area and make your way through the cave. Destroy the statue and some rocks will lower. Jump onto them and ride up to the opening in the ceiling. Jump into the next area. Cavern of Pestilence Drop down into the hole and grab the TNT and Voodoo Doll. Kill the bats and jump into the pool. Swim through and kill the fish. Surface in the next area and kill the gillbeast. Follow the passage until you come to a large opening. Kill any enemies and grab the Life Leech behind a column. Jump into the stream and kill the fish. Swim through and surface in a small room. Smash the statue and jump back into the pool. Surface and jump onto the rocky ledge. Follow it and return to the previous area. You'll see that some rocks have crumbled, and you can climb up to the upper area. Jump onto the ledge up forth and smash the statue. Jump back onto the cliff and enter the passage. Destroy another statue and enter the next area. Jump across the stream and hop onto the rocks. Ride them up to the next area. Jump up and kill the hellhounds. Jump across the stones on the lava pool and grab the Telsa Cannon. Enter the passage in front, kill any bats and hellhounds. Hop across the lake of lava and grab the Asbestos Armour. This will protect you from the lava's heat. Walk across the melted rock and you'll enter another passage. Kill the bats and jump across the gap into the next passage. Pillars of Sacrifice Jump across the river of lava and exit the cavern. Grab all the ammo and items. Jump up onto the altar to get the Guns Akimbo. Kill Cerberus. ****************************************************************************** Having destroyed the fire breathing beast, Vincent has saved the kingdom of Arcanius. The beast, who demanded the sacrifice of a young maiden every week is no more. Vincent is hailed as a hero by the people of Arcanius and the mage Magistrate. Magistrate invites Vincent to a feast and gives him a rope to help him in his journey. Vincent continues on to the mountain of Apollo. ****************************************************************************** Apollo's Mountain Make your way across the ground until you reach some rocks you can climb. Along the way, pick up the armour behind some rocks, and some spray cans and a Voodoo Doll. Climb the rocks until you reach an opening in the mountain. Enter and drop down the hole. In this new area, kill the bats and grab the spray cans. Follow the stream. Before you exit the cave, jump outside onto the rocks and climb them until you get to another cavern. Kill the cultists, and exit. Wait until the rotating platform is near and jump on. Ride it to the other end and jump off. Grab the telsa charges, kill the hellhounds, and jump across the cliff onto a stone column. Jump keeping across the rocks until you get to a cliff. Go up and kill the zombies. Jump onto the rocks, and climb them. Destroy the statue on top. Return to the cliff where you originally starting jumping, and jump across the lava falls. Grab the gasoline can and jump onto the stone column. Eventually, you'll come to another opening in the mountain. Kill the bats and jump onto the rocks. Exit into the next area. In an area to your left, you'll find a waterfall, some ammo, and another statue. Smash it and grab the ammo. Return to the previous area and jump across the gap onto the rocks. Enter the opening and destroy the statue. Jump across the gap onto the ledge. Enter the opening and jump down. Kill the zombies and walk forth, then climb up the hill. If you'd like some armour, jump down onto the rocks and carefully make your way across the ledges. After you get the armour, follow the path, killing any enemies in your way, until you get to a swamp. Walk forth and climb up the rocks. Push the symbol. Cavern of Destiny Successfully descending into the cavern with Magistrate's rope, Vincent finds himself in the cavern which will lead him to the summit. There are no enemies in this level, but there is lots of stuff to pick up. You'll find the Telsa Cannon and some Fire Armour in this first area. Jump across the pit and enter the next area. Make your way down the rocks, picking up any ammo you find. Near the bottom, you'll find a Life Leech and some spray cans. Drop down, pick up the TNT atop the rocks ahead and enter the opening. Jump across the lava river and use a TNT bundle to blow up the crack. Go through and climb up. On some rocks ahead, you'll find some bombs. Climb up the rocks to your left to reach another opening. Grab any ammo you find and go outside. Follow the cliffs to a column of light. Step into it. Temple of Light Kill the cultist and grab the Spirit Armour behind you. Enter the temple and kill the guards. Grab the ammo and Doctor's bag. Climb up both sets of stairs and activate the symbols. This will open up the door in the center of the stairways. Kill the guards and open the next door. Waste the cultists and climb up the steps. Kill the enemies in this next room and open the doors. Get rid of your enemies and climb up both sets of stairs, activating the symbols at the end of each hall. This will open up the door between the steps. Kill the fat zombies and grab the Life Leech. Get rid of the gargoyles and open the door. The Excalibur's Keep Grab all the ammo and climb up the steps. Wait for Archbishop Tchernobog's greeting to end and the door will open. Walk forth and enter the chamber ahead of you. Climb up the steps to the sword. A wall will blast apart and Chaos will come back for another attempt at revenge. Once you deal enough damage to him, he will retreat. ****************************************************************************** Vincent is so exhausted from his travels, that he collapses just as he clutches the sword's hilt. He has yet another dream with Valkereye. He awakens in Magistrate's castle. Magistrate tells Valkereye's story then transports Vincent back to the Iconoclast castle. Estella is overjoyed to see him. The king holds a feast in his honour. That night however, as Vincent and Estella speak to each other, the vizier overhears them and plots to destroy him. The following afternoon, the vizier decides to send Vincent on a final task, to retrieve the Eye of the Beholder and the Obsidian of Souls from the tomb of Ishmael. Estella gives him a kiss for good luck. With help from Valirus, Vincent finds the tomb and prepares for the dangerous descent. ****************************************************************************** Ishmael's Tomb Climb up the steps, grab the Tommy gun and jump up to find a drum of bullets. Grab the spray cans and follow the right path to reach a spot which is slightly lower than the ground surrounding it. Dig to find the skull key. Climb back up the steps and open the door to the crypt, grabbing the Napalm Launcher. Get the ammo inside and shoot the plate. Go down the elevator into the tomb. Go down the steps and kill the phantasm. It will drop the fire key. Take it and go back upstairs. Open the door and kill the fat zombies. Go down the ladder and kill the hellhounds. Grab the ammo and climb the next ladder. Flip the switch and go back down. Climb the steps and hop across the stones to reach the dagger key. Take it and climb back up the first ladder. Return to the elevator and take open the door. Kill the phantasms and take any ammo you find. Push the button and jump to the ladder and climb it. Flip the switch and take the ammo. Climb down and open the four doors, killing rats and phantasms. Flip all four switches. Grab any ammo and items and climb back up the ladder. Return to the elevator to find the spider key. Take it and open the fire key door. Climb down the ladder and climb the slope to your left. Kill the phantasm and flip the switch. Now return to the door where you fought the first phantasm and the door is now open. Enter the next area, kill the hellhound and phantasms. Grab any ammo and open the door. Go down the elevator. Take the ammo and open the door. Break the web and open the door. Open fire on the spider queen and kill her to end the level. ****************************************************************************** Successfully retrieving the jewels, Vincent returns to the castle. The king presents his reward to Vincent. To the shock of Vincent and Estella, the king knows about their relationship and decides to have them wed the next morning. Even though Vincent and Estella are great friends, they don't feel ready to take such step. The vizier arrives and takes the jewels from Vincent. Then, to the horror of Vincent and Estella, he reveals himself as Raven Dark! To shock them even more, the king has made a deal with the dark sorcerer to find the last of Caleb's descendants so that he would be destroyed and Raven Dark's revenge be completed. Vincent realizes that he has been used. Raven Dark stabs the king with the Sword of Judgement and kidnaps Estella, but not before plunging the Obsidian of Souls into his forehead, regaining full power. He flies off towards the Shrine of the Mystic Gods to unseal Valkereye. Before he dies, the king explains what happened and begs Vincent to save Estella and destroy Valkereye. Vincent however is reluctant. After all, he has been used and blames himself for the upcoming revival of Valkereye. Murlock, Anya, Edgar, Alucada, and Valirus protest and encourage him to save Estella. Vincent realizes that he does have feelings for Estella and decides to save her and stop Raven Dark. They arrive outside the shrine. While Valirus and his knights hold off Raven Dark's legions, Vincent runs into the temple and finds a sealed door, which has mysteriously been forced open. ****************************************************************************** Temple of the Dark Master Enter the passage, climb the steps, and kill the zombies in the courtyard. You'll find a Shotgun here. Climb the steps and take the Napalm Launcher and ammo. Kill the gargoyles and open the door. Waste the guards and go forth. Open the door and kill the fat zombie and cultists. Open another door in front and kill the guards. Activate the symbols on the walls and two chambers will open. Shoot the buttons and the door opens. Kill the gillbeasts and enter the chamber to your right. Push the button to get the moon key. Open the moon key doors and kill the guards. Grab any ammo you find. Open the door and kill the phantasm. Open the door and kill the zombies. You'll find some armour here. Climb the steps, go left, and kill the phantasm. Flip the switch, and go right. Kill the guards and open the door. Go down the steps and kill any enemies in your way. Enter the area with the lava pit and kill the hellhound, cultists, and fat zombie. Climb the steps and eliminate all resistance. Enter the courtyard and jump into the swamp. Swim through, killing the fish. Surface in the pool in the locked room and grab the key and ammo, while killing the rats. Open the door and jump across the swamp. Open the doors to your left. Valkereye's Halls Enter the chamber ahead and kill the guards. Shoot the button on the ceiling in the next room and climb up the steps. Open one of the paintings to find the Boots of Jumping. Kill the cultist and the phantasm. Push the button and smash the window to get the Telsa Cannon. Go back down the steps and enter the courtyard. Kill the guards. Grab any items in the area and smash the window. Use the Boots of Jumping to go up and get a Life Seed. Go back to the courtyard and go down the steps. Get rid of the gargoyles and grab the ammo. Get the Napalm Launcher on a ledge and push the button on the monument. Grab the armour here and enter the next chamber. Kill the enemies and drop down onto a platform. Flip the switch and the door will open. Enter the chamber and kill the guards and bloated butchers. Grab the ammo and kill the phantasms. Approach the doors and you'll meet Chaos again. You know the drill. ****************************************************************************** Beyond the doors, Vincent finds Raven Dark, Estella, and Valkereye's statue. Raven Dark inserts the Eye of the Beholder into the statue's forehead. Valkereye has returned! Everyone hears that Vincent is the "Chosen One". Valkereye opens a portal to his realm of darkness and enters, Raven Dark and Chaos follow, taking Estella. Murlock explains Vincent's destiny to him and gives him Caleb's amulet. Valirus gives him the sword of Iconoclast. Vincent enters a portal that Murlock opens. In Valkereye's realm, a world of eternal darkness, he spots Valkereye's palace surrounded by a lake of unholy water. Valkereye appears and Vincent learns that Estella is to be sacrificed to the powers of darkness. Valkereye also makes Vincent an offer: join the dark forces or be destroyed. Then he disappears. Vincent gets into a nearby boat and makes his way across the lake to Valkereye's castle. Meanwhile, portals from Valkereye's realm are opening across the universe. Unless Vincent stops Valkereye, the universe will merge with Valkereye's dimension and will never again see the light of day. Vincent must succeed, for it is his destiny to fight the forces of darkness, leading the light to the end of the war! ****************************************************************************** Darkmosphere Palace Jump out of the boat, grab the Tommy gun and flip the switch to ride the elevator up. Kill the cultists and avoid the machine gun trap. Walk across the bridge. Grab the Flare gun, kill the guard, and get the flares. Flip the switch and a door opens. Kill the guards and the fat zombie. The switch can't be flipped yet, you must find and activate another. Go outside and get the TNT. Walk forth until you find a switch. Activate it and return to the switch you couldn't use before. Flip it. Kill the fat zombie and climb the steps. After disposing of the guards, walk through the passage, killing more guards. Get rid of the choking hands near the moon key door. Go down the steps and kill the guards. Turn around and walk forth, open the door, and kill the guards. Open the door and get the skull key. Go back to the switch you activated to unlock the previous switch and climb down the ladder. Open the door, walk forth, get the Voodoo Doll, and kill the gillbeast. Open the compartment to get the Napalm Launcher. Walk forth, killing more gillbeasts. There's a spot in the water where you can dive down and resurface in another area to get some Super Armour. Continue until you get to a ladder. Climb it. Kill the cultist and walk along the ledge. Flip the switch and continue walking forth, killing any guards and collecting any ammo. Enter the next hall and kill the guards. When you step into the large chamber, stone gargoyles will attack. Get rid of them and pick up the Telsa Cannon. Enter the passage and destroy the spiders. Get the dagger key. Retrace your steps back to the bridge near the start and enter the second hall. Open the door, kill the guards, and walk up the steps. Open the dagger key door and blow up the fat zombie. Climb the ladder and dispose of the guards. Walk forth, killing any enemies you meet. Get rid of the bats in the next hall and continue to your left. Kill the sleeping zombies and the fat zombie. Activate the bookshelf to reveal a passage. Kill the phantasms and get the moon key. You need one more key to exit the level. Go back into the area where the gillbeasts resided and enter the darkest passage. Climb the ladder and go down into the courtyard. Kill the zombies and get the final key. Retrace your steps back to the moon key door and open it, then open the next door to end the level. Hall of Shadows Walk forth, kill the guard, and grab the bombs. Open the door, kill the cultist and grab a bunch of TNT bundles here. Get rid of the rats and the fat zombie. Open the door, grab the Guns Akimbo, and waste the guards. Open the doors to your left and kill the guards. Open the door you find and climb down the steps. Get rid of the guards and continue forth to get a Telsa Cannon. Go to the elevator and ride up. Ambush the guard and walk forth. Open the compartment and flip the switch. Continue down the hall, kill the guard, and go down the ladder. Cross the bridge and get the fire key. Retrace your steps to the area where you found the Guns Akimbo and enter the other door. Kill any enemies and grab the armour and Boots of Jumping. Cross the bridge and waste the guards in the next room. Get the Napalm Launcher and grab the eye key. Return to the area with the three doors and enter the remaining chamber. Kill the guards and open the door. Open the eye key door. Walk forth and disposing of your foes and walk up the steps. Flip the fire key switch and cross the platforms. Grab the bullets and climb up the steps. Waste the guards and follow the hall. Open the door and kill any cultists you find. Contine following the path until you get to the blue key. Return to the area with the Guns Akimbo and open the first door again. Open the locked door and walk up the steps, killing the cultists. Open the door, send the phantasm back to hell, and open the door. Haunted Halls Break the spider web. Get the spray can and climb up the steps. Ambush the guards. The pillar is activated by a switch on the floor locked by the spider key. Make a note of this. Burn the webs and enter the next chamber. Nuke the guards, go past the curtains, and get the Fire Armour. Open the door and ride the elevator up. Kill the hellhounds and grab the Napalm Launcher. Destroy the gargoyles and go up the steps. Kill the guards and open the door downstairs. Follow the passage, pass the moon key door, and open the next door. Destroy your foes and jump down onto the floor of another room below. If you miss it, you'll fall to your doom. Open the door, kill all enemies, and get the skull key in one of the coffins. Climb up both sets of stairs, destroy the bloated butchers, smash the stained glass windows and flip the switches. The door to the next level is here. Make a note of it. Enter the next chamber, kill the guard, walk up the steps, and ride the elevator up. Ambush the cultist, flip the switch, and open the door. Return to the room with the skull key. Watch out for the fireball. Get the doctor's bag and smash the stained glass to get a life seed. Open the door and nuke the guards. Open the door and get rid of the phantasm. Get the ammo and shoot the button. Ride up to the next floor. Walk up both sets of steps, killing the enemies in each room and ride both elevators. Flip both switches. This will open the door. Go through, kill the guards, grab the moon key, then dispose of the phantasm. Return to the moon key door and ride the elevator up. Open the door and kill the giant spider. Get the spider key. Return to the chamber with the spider key button and push it to get the blue key. Return to the room where you got the skull key and open the door. Kill the phantasm and open the door. Courtyard of the Moon Jump into the pool to get some bullets and a Tommy gun. Walk across the bridge and kill the guard. Get the TNT and drop down. Open fire on the cultists and walk forth. Avoid the fireball and open the door. Destroy the gargoyles. Walk to your left and open the door. Follow the path inside and open the door. Get the spray cans and kill the zombies. Open the door and go down the ladder to get the fire key. Grab the Napalm Launcher, then climb back up. Keep following the path. Open the fire key door. Enter the courtyard, killing any enemies, and grabbing any ammo. The tree in the chamber with the bats conceals the dagger key. Walk up to it to retrieve the key. Return to the first outer area and go right this time. Follow the path and open the door. Go down the stairs and ambush the cultist after opening the door. Follow the path, picking up any items, and killing any zombies. Jump onto the crate and jump over the wall. Drop down and kill the zombies and hellhound. Go left and open the door. Climb up the steps to the top of the tower and open the door. Blast the tree to get a Life Seed. Flip the switch, kill the enemies, and return to a door you passed earlier. Open it and walk across the bridge. Get the moon key. Drop down to a secret area, get some ammo, and Super Armour. Drop down again and open the door to your right. Kill the guards and open the door at the end of the hall. Burn the zombies and get the blue key in the fountain. Now retrace your steps back to the hall at the beginning of the level and climb the ladder. Waste the guards in the next hall and go down the steps. Open the door and go down both halls. Flip the switches to open the door to the exit. Nightmare Hall Go forth, open the doors ahead, and get the ammo. Push the button on the floor if you need some armour. Open the center door and kill the guards. Get the TNT and destroy the webs and bats. Go down the passage and waste the guard. Get the eye key in the next chamber and kill the spiders. Return to the hall with the four doors. One of them now has a ladder in its chamber that you should climb. Kill the guards and open the doors. Nuke the cultists and grab any ammo. Cross the bridge and go down. Open the eye key door. Kill the fat zombie and nuke the guards. Open the door and kill all resistance. In the next chamber, there are two ways to bring out the giant spider. Shoot its web, or approach the pillar. Once you get rid of her, push the pillar. Return to the first room on this floor, killing any enemies you meet, and get the dagger key. Return to the hall with the four doors. Open the remaining door, kill the guards, then open the next door. Ride the elevator up. Surprise the guards and open the door to your left. Kill the guard, pick up the armour he drops. Open the next two doors. Cross the bridge, push the pillar, cross the bridge again, then flip the switch in the compartment that has opened up. This will unlock a door. Open one of the doors to your right in the previous chamber. Kill the cultist, grab any ammo in the area, then open the next door. Kill all guards, then open the door at the end of the hall. Ride the elevator up. Flip all switches. Kill the phantasm and grab any items before riding the elevator down. Get the moon key and retrace your steps to the dagger key doors, open the one you haven't opened yet. Kill the guards, get the Guns Akimbo, and open the moon key door. Kill the cultists and open the door. Climb the ladder and nuke the enemies in this chamber. Climb up the steps, open the door, kill the phantasm, then ride the elevator up. Flip all four switches and go back down. Open one of the doors, kill the phantasm, grab the flares, open the next door, grab the ammo, then climb down the ladder. Break the web, open the door in front, then grab the blue key. A stone gargoyle will ambush you. Destroy it and climb back up the ladder. Return to the room with the elevator. Open the remaining door that isn't locked, kill the phantasm, and open the door. Chambers of Dark Magic Get the spray cans and shotgun shells. Smash the plate and ride down the elevator. Go down the steps and grab the Fire Armour and flares. Kill the phantasm and climb up the steps. Grab the Tommy gun and kill the enemies in the next room. Walk up the slope and open the door. Kill the guards and open one of the doors. Walk along the path and jump into the pool to get the spider key, making sushi of the fish. Return to the elevator and ride back up to where you started. Open the spider key door and walk forth. Open the next door. Walk up the steps and open the doors before you. Kill the guards and walk up the steps. Open the door, kill the cultists and open the door ahead. Kill the hellhounds. open the door to your left, kill the phantasm, then ride down the elevator. Kill the cultists who ambush you, then go down the steps. Kill the phantasm and get the skull key. Go back up and open the skull key door. Grab the Life Leech after killing the enemies and open the door. Nuke the guards and climb the steps. Open the door, get rid of the phantasm, and push the pillar to get the eye key. Return to the eye key door you passed earlier and open it. Jump over the pool and open the door. Kill everyone. If you want the Life Seed, flip both switches you find in the areas with the trees. Open the door, walk forth, get the blue key, and return to the room where you destroyed the phantasm carrying the skull key. Open the door and kill the guards. Walk forth and open the door. Pandemonium Tower Walk up the steps, open the door, and kill the cultist. Smash the second stained glass to the left to get the Napalm Launcher. Open the door and kill the guards. When you step into the area, two of the gargoyle statues will come to life. Destroy them and proceed. Open the door and kill the cultist. Shoot the window and jump in. Get rid of the bats and the phantasm. Open the door and walk upstairs, killing any guards. You'll pass the spider key door. Open the door at the top and kill the guards. Ride the elevator up. Kill everyone in the next room and pick up any ammo. Open the door in front of you and kill everyone inside. Pick up all ammo and climb the ladder. Kill the guards and walk upstairs. Kill the bloated butcher and open the door. Go outside and kill the cultists. Open the door and climb the steps after killing the guards. Open the next door. Flip the switch to get the skull key, or use the Boots of Jumping if you have them. Kill the phantasm and go back down to the previous floor. Open the skull key door and climb the ladder. Ambush the guard and go right. Kill everyone you meet. Open the door at the end of the passage. Kill the phantasm and go upstairs. Kill all resistance. Open the door and kill the cultists. Go upstairs until you get to a door. Open it and get rid of the phantasm. Get the spider key. Retrace your steps back down to the spider key door. Open it and push the pillar inside. Get the blue key and return to the room where you found the spider key. Open the door, walk forth, open the next door, and kill the cultist. Climb the ladder, kill the guards, and open the door. Kill the bloated butcher and open the door. Halls of the Dark Light Walk forth, get the Tommy gun and spray cans. Kill the cultists and get the armour and bullets behind the pillars. Open the door and kill the guards. Walk forth, open the door, and get rid of the guards. Walk down one of the halls and open the door. Follow the passage until you get to a small room with a button on the floor. Push it. Repeat for the other hall. The door between them is now open. In the central hall, grab the Napalm Launcher and the Doctor's Bag. Grab the medicine pouch if you need it. Open the door and kill the fat zombie and cultists. If you grab the armour, the gargoyles will come to life and attack. Get rid of them and grab any ammo in the room. Open the door atop the steps and kill the cultists in the next room. Open the door and kill the guards. Push the button behind the stone column and grab the Life Leech if you need it. Beware though, it you do get it, you'll have to fight a phantasm. The button you pushed activates the elevator. Wait for it to come down, then ride it up. Ambush the cultist and nuke the guards in the next area. Open the doors and kill the cultists. Grab all the ammo, then open the door. Climb the ladder. Kill the cultist and the phantasm. Grab the gasoline can and TNT. Flip the switch. This will open a wall. Enter it and climb the ladder. Go up the stairs and grab the Guns Akimbo. Walk down the next hall and kill the phantasm that surprises you. Climb up the ladder. Kill the guards and the stone gargoyles, then open the door. ****************************************************************************** Vincent finds the Sphere of Darkness, along with Valkereye and Raven Dark. Valkereye reminds Vincent of the offer he made, but of course, Vincent refuses. Valkereye leaves Vincent and Raven Dark alone for his son to destroy the "Chosen One". During the fight, Vincent discovers that Raven Dark ordered the destruction of his home and the death of his family. Filled with rage, Vincent destroys the Sword of Judgement with his inner power and attacks Raven Dark. In the fray, the Sphere of Darkness and the Obsidian of Souls are destroyed. With his Tommy gun, Vincent finishes off Raven Dark once and for all! With Raven Dark dead, all Vincent cherished on Earth has been avenged. But the war is not over yet. Vincent realizes that he must confront Valkereye and rescue Estella. Opening a door he passed earlier with a key he recieves from Raven Dark after the sorcerer fell, he soon reaches the highest level of the castle. The destruction of the Sphere of Darkness has weakened the forces of darkness in the realm and brought forth the dawn. Valkereye congratulates Vincent on his accomplishments, but warns him that today, the "Chosen One" meets his doom. Knowing that it's time to fulfill his destiny, Vincent prepares himself for the upcoming final battle to determine the fate of the universe! ****************************************************************************** Valkereye's Tower Climb the steps and grab the Tommy gun. Climb the next set of steps, get the bullets and armour suits. Stand before the door and wait for it to open. You might want to step back before it does open, as cultists will ambush you. Kill them and the fat zombie. Grab all the ammo and walk forth. Open the door ahead and proceed forth. Get all the ammo and the flare gun. Walk up the steps and kill the cultist. Climb the ladder. Open the door and kill the guards. Get rid of the phantasm to get the dagger key. Get the Boots of Jumping. Climb the ladder and get the shotgun and TNT. Flip the switch to unlock the door, then open it. Destroy the gargoyles in the next area. Walk around the wall and open the door. Nuke the guards and walk forth. A part of the bridge will blow up. Use the Boots of Jumping to cross the gap. Kill the cultist and climb the ladder. Get the Voodoo Doll and open the door. Kill the cultist and open the door. Kill all guards in this area and grab all the ammo. Open the door and kill the guards. Grab the ammo and open the door. Destroy the gargoyle and kill the cultist. Open the door, get the ammo, and kill the giant spider. Get the spider key, open the door, and ride the elevator up. Kill the bloated butcher and grab the ammo. Jump into the corners to get a Doctor's Bag and a Life Seed. Kill the phantasms and open the door. Get the Fire Key and back out of the room as Cerberus appears, along with two gargoyles. Destroy them all and open the door atop the steps. Walk outside, kill the guards and go upstairs. Destroy the gargoyles. Go further up the stairs and open the door. Climb the ladder. Open the door and kill the last of the guards. Get the ammo and walk across the bridge. A phantasm surprises you in the next room. Send it back to hell. You'll now see five symbols on the wall with a number above them. To open the door before you, you must input the code. During the fight through this level, you should have come across some symbols with a number. They are the key to solving this puzzle. If you're stuck, backtrack through the level and find them. Use this opportunity to pick up any ammo you missed, along with any health. Here's where to find the five keys to solving the puzzle: Key 1:The room after the first door. Search one of the pillars. Key 2:The hall where you destroyed the first phantasm. It's on the wall in front of you. Key 3:The room with the columns and and the brown orbs. You'll find it on the floor between two columns. Key 4:The chamber where you fought the Spider Queen. Look on one of the walls. Key 5:The outdoor balcony where the last two gargoyles were destroyed. At the top of the stairs, turn around and you'll see it on the side of the balcony. Memorize all five symbols, them input the code. This will open a new compartment. Flip the switch and the door opens. You might want to save your game here, because once you enter the final chamber, if the door closes behind you, you'll be sealed in. When you're ready, cross the bridge, open the door in the mouth of the tower, and enter the final chamber.
