16. Ready To Install
This is the final screen before the installation files are copied onto
your hard drive. Remember, the installation may destroy data, and as the
notice states, this cannot be undone. Continue with care and when the actual
installation is complete, you should have an operating RedHat Linux system.
16.1 It Worked! What Do I Do Now?
Now that your system is up and running, think of other things to do with
it. Experiment with all sorts of things. The possibilities are endless.
I would also recommend that you find a good e-mail list, newsgroups, or
message board on what you are interested in doing. If you ever run into
problems, and you will, chances are someone else has already dealt with
the same thing.
16.2 It Wont Boot! What Happened?
Honestly, I couldn't tell you if I tried. Sometimes it takes many tries
to get it right. Start at the beginning and do everything over. Try and
read more HOWTOs, like this one, and try again. Like I mentioned above,
try and find a good source of information on the Internet. With a little
more work you will have the system up an running and you can begin to experiment
with Linux more and more.
