George Square (Assorted Dates):

Basically, George Square is Glasgow's city centre.  This is always a hub of activity regardless of time of year.  There are numerous monuments and statues here and bordering George Square are buildings such as Glasgow Queen Street train station, the Glasgow City Council Building, and a lovely pub/restaurant, the Counting House.  For a concise history and description of George Square, click here.
