Bothwell Castle (13/1/04):

This castle is located just southeast of Glasgow city centre.  The day I visited was the first sunny day in over two weeks and I wanted to take advantage of the clear (for a change) conditions to visit this particular castle, as well as tryout some of the settings I learned to use on my camera in multi-function mode.  Getting there was fairly easy, as first I boarded a train for Uddingston at Glasgow Central Station.  Once in Uddingston, hired a cab to drive to take me remainder of the way.  If you would like a concise description of Bothwell Castle, consult this page on Historic Scotland's site.
