- 2 objects - 1 ground and 1 perfect sphere with the AAsky texture for
the background.
- There is a little global fog as Gary suggested to add a little depth.

reflectivity and filter are 0
Textures - two applications of RJJNoiseBump, though
any fractal noise texture should work.

Bump Texture 1 - Large waves - Flat
Bumps - height -0.69, top clip 1.00,
bottom clip 1.00, octaves 0
Parameters - Frequency 1.00, phase
0, turbulence 0, octaves 6, scale 32, noise 0
The clip is the important factor as you want smooth
non-bumpy areas alternating with bumps/ depressions in the other areas

Bumps - height -0.69, top clip 1.00,
bottom clip 0.75, octaves 0
Parameters - Frequency 1.00, phase
0, turbulence 5, octaves 6, scale 32, noise 0
I played with the settings until I the wave movement
seemed appropriated. Notice no flat areas.

Bumps - height 0.29, top clip 1.00,
bottom clip 0, octaves 6
Parameters - Frequency 1.00, phase
0, turbulence 0, octaves 2, scale 0, noise 0
Just play with the settings until you get the look
you want.

Too much turbulence seemed to swirl the pattern too
