TsuNami vs. Katrina

What does the recent Tsunami disaster mean to any of you? Or, do any of you really not care one way or the other. It's a strange feeling, to think of 150,000+ people wiped out in a matter of minutes, with no one to blame but fate. Makes me think, what were the stories of those who perished? Was there a guy who loved his neighbour, but never told her? Was there someone who had gone to bed angry with his brother/sister/parent? How many people felt happy about their lives?

It's such a tragic thing to think of the last minutes of those people. Sitting on the beach, sipping on fruit mixes, then a burly, unkept fisherman with shrimp stuck on his beard runs across the beachfronts screaming "The sea is coming, get out!!" Yeah, like anyone would care, where would the sea be going?

Then you have another group of scuba divers on a boat going out to sea when all of a sudden the water disappears and the boat is sitting on sand. "This is the Captain speaking, Umm, just stay calm, the water seems to have evaporated. Don't panic, just gather your belongings and walk back to shore, or whatever." At which point elephants and dogs are hauling up the mountains, and no one wants to question why animals are all heading in the same direction at the same time!

Katrina

Wow, that sucks for black po' folks.
