Physical Description: Male Elf. Long, light brown hair worn in a two-pronged ponytail. Golden eyes, bronzed skin, cleanshaven. Muscular build. Small tattoo (blue zigzag) on inside left bicep, large tribal tattoo of a puma's paw on inside right bicep (tribal custom). He wears strong leather gloves (a gift from his sister) while working or traveling. 6', 3" tall, 175 lbs.

Background

Johorred currently works and lives along the continent's major river, called the Raane by the Elves. (It is similar to Earth's Mississippi River, but much much wider and more winding.) Dedicated and efficient, he easily finds jobs on one of the many transport barges that travel the river. He enjoys physical labor. He's thinking about someday buying out one of the shippers and running his own boat, possibly with a partner.

An unusually strong elf, Johorred is a member of tribe of prairie elves that live near a branch of the river. He left the tribe to see the world (and because he was embarrassed by his ineptness for horse-riding). He has traveled to most of the cities/towns along the river. He is more earthy than other elves.

He is a middle child in a large family; he wishes he could visit more often with them. He left young, before he could learn much about the tribes' crafts and spells. He is very proud of his tribe and family and will find ways to bring them into the conversation.

His tribe has associated itself with the plains puma, the largest local land animal. They have a holy place on the prairie called the Puma's Paw, a tall, oddly-shaped hill.

Johorred has a good sense of rhythm and enjoys music and dancing. He hates to see the suffering of the poor so common in the cities and does what he can to help. Likeable and easygoing, the stubbornness of his youth occasionally manifests itself.

Playing guide: Future points should be spent on adding the advantage Contacts, increasing his spell skills and adding the skills Merchant, Navigation and Shiphandling. Less important expenditures: adding the Bard skill (for which he gets a bonus) and the eventual removal of Enemies. Acquiring/saving money is also important, which is why he would be interested in adventuring.
