Welcome to my world...

This is the home of Bandagora, my AD&D campaign world. This page is intended for those who would like to get to know it better (see also the about this site page)
We (me and my players) play by the AD&D core rules, and though we started out playing "straight" 1st Edition ("Gary Gygax") AD&D, the rules have been modified and added to many times over (you may want to check out the house rules).
If you are familiar with other AD&D settings, such as Greyhawk or Forgotten Realms, Bandagora is more or less the same, with a few differences. In the Bandagoran pantheon, there are 34 gods. There are no specifically elven or orcish gods, because in Bandagora, the gods created the world. The common AD&D concept that each race, even culture, has its own set of gods must be based on the assumption that the gods are somehow a collective creation of the god's followers. Not so in Bandagora, but the gods may appear under different names and manifestations (aspects).
There are three planes in my world, but this can mainly be understood as how the sages of Bandagora view the world, it has no greater impact on game play.

Getting Started (step 1)

If want to learn about Bandagora, here's the tour:
Solve the crossword puzzle using the Encyclopedia Bandagora. I'm sorry but you'll have to print the crossword or copy it to a piece of paper (I don't have the capability to offer online crosswords).

Click on the Enc Band button (you can right-click it if you want to open it in a new window). I know it's a large file, but you can start reading as it loads.
Hint: Use your browser's search function (Ctrl-F or Ctrl-B) to look for words or phrases in the clues.

Look it up!

On with the text adventure (step 2)

The point of that little exercise was that you browse the Enc Band and get a little acquainted with my world. I hope you like crosswords, because the next step is also a crossword. But this time you're supposed to use the library and/or the site search facility. Or whatever method you desire. When solving the puzzle, ignore aprostrophes or spaces between words (as in answers made up of two words). Click either button to start. Once you've completed the crossword, you take the seven letters (top to bottom, lower-case - they make a nonsense word) and write them instead of xxxxxxx in the address field to go to the "secret" URL, where step 3 commences.
Write http://members.nbci.com/Bandagora/xxxxxxx.htm (replace xxxxxxx)

There's no prize, but if you complete the crossword, you may want to sign up for the next installment of the Net Campaign
