Sun Valley, Idaho Ketchum, Idaho in Sun Valley is a place everyone should have on their "To Visit" list. It is about 8 blocks square and has over 35 restaurants. We spent a day driving some back roads (dirt) through the mountains East of Ketchum and through several valleys.
Trail Creek Valley, East Fork Creek road & Copper Basin are great. 
At Antelope Pass, the road narrowed and still had a little snow. 
North of Ketchum are the Sawtooth Mountains. Galena Peak was on the way.
The Sawtooth National Recreational Area is 756,000 acres with 40 peaks over 10,000 Ft. There are over 300 high mountain lakes and outdoor recreation is year round. This was the highlight of the trip.
