Nuyen vs design points

Has none of your PC ever asked you for 800 000 nuyens at the creation ? And you answered him : "Well, sorry, it's 650 000 or 1 000 000 in the Companion". And the player takes 1 000 000, and chooses gear he didn't wanted, because (s)he doesn't want to see the unused money divided by 100. So, he'll seek in all the sourcebooks for 200 000 nuyens of material he needn't. On the other hand, (s)he d'love to get that edge to complete his (her) character, but (s)he lacks 2 design points.

I see this EACH TIME my players create a character. Here is how I solved the problem : I entered the values given in the Companion, made a polynomial regression at order 4, and took all the values for the design points corresponding. This gives this :
