by Andrew Rodenhouse Protoss attacks are versatile and take many forms. Zealots, dragoons and other strong units. The trick is which unit you combine with which. One of these is the Invisible Assault, displays a good combo. The fact that two zealots can take out 6 zerglings or 5 marines is a definite advantage. If you are quick you can rush your opponent with devastating results. My favorite strategies are to build about 6 carriers, 6 reavers and about 2 arbiters. Have the reavers totally upgraded and put them in a tight pack in the rear of your base. Now use an observer and scout the enemy base. Take your 6 carriers cloaked by your 2 arbiters and start attacking. Then recall your 6 reavers, using your arbeiters and watch your enemies base crumble. The six carriers will supply plenty of air and ground support, while your reavers finish off the opponents base. If you want you can send in a couple of dark templars with the reavers. The dark templars can run off to your opponents, normally unprotected mineral piles, and destroy all of the workers without detection. This will halt there income. This technique works great on island and land based maps. Although it is a bit expensive and time consuming, it is unstoppable. |
