A multi-player game using a deck of cards specific to the game. Each card has a color (except the wild and wild draw four cards), as well as either a number or action. The idea is to be the first player to discard all of your cards by either playing the same number, action or color card as the previous player. If you cannot play such a card, you must draw another one. If it can be played, you may do so.
The action cards include "Skip" (the next player), "Reverse" (the direction of play) and "Draw 2" (which the next player must do). And the aforementioned wild cards which may be used to change the color being played.
The player who goes out receives points based on what cards remain in his opponents hand. The number cards equal the number on the card, action cards are 20 and the wild cards are 50 points each. The game continues until a pre-determined total is reached.
Personal History and Thoughts:
I wasn't much into this game until I started playing it with my girlfriend and her kids. Since I was playing all the time, I decided I might as well learn to like it!
