Redmond, A.P. Due to the huge popularity of record-breaking slugger Mark McGuire, Microsoft Corp (NYSE:MSFT) announced today that it will be integrating footage of Mark McGuire's record-breaking 62nd homerun into its Windows 98 operating system.
"Both the people who missed the event on television and the many devoted McGuire fans out there have asked us for this feature. We are always happy to oblige a request for innovation," said Mark Murray, a Microsoft spokesman.
Microsoft is integrating the legendary McGuire footage into Windows through the Windows Media Player. The McGuire AVI will be the "default movie" for the media player. Like the Internet Explorer and Microsoft Network icons, the McGuire AVI can not be moved to the recycling bin.
