Click on the modem (the two connected Computers or others) icon in the system tray.

Then click Details, then where it says 'Server Type', See if it says anything with PPP in it

It could be :

PPP: Windows 95, Windows NT 3.5, Internet

or

PPP: Windows 98, Windows NT 3.5, Internet

and there is many other combinations but these are the only ones I know of

OR!!!

if there is no modem icon for some reason, go into your C:\Windows folder. Then look for a file called Winipcfg.exe. Open it then if it says

"PPP ADAPTER"

its ok to follow the procedure in the modem section.
