How to make a ClanArena 1.3 Server

To make a server correctly, you will need to Download all the Files in red

1. First, you need to download the file QWSV.exe, and the ClanArena Server maker file.

2. Unzip the QWSV.exe file into your C:\Quake directory

3. Unzip The ClanArena Server Maker files into your C:\Quake\Arena directory (or your other clan arena directories) (OVERWRITE ALL FILES)

4. For a test run, click Start then Run, and type

C:\Quake\qwsv.exe +gamedir arena +map dm3  or

C:\Quake\qwsv.exe +gamedir "your arena directory" +map "your map choice"

and open quakeworld and type Connect Localhost

( If the QWSV fails to run make sure that your QWPROGS.DAT is in your C:\Quake\ID1 folder )

5. Once it works download this program for Windows 95, 98, and NT only. It's priority.exe which decreases the server-side and client-side ping and PL. The way you run it is to run yours server then run priority. (Not Recommened for Linux)

6. The next thing is to click Start, Run, and type:

C:\Quake\qwsv.exe +gamedir "your arena directory" +map "your map choice"

Then give your IP to people and they will come. And to connect to your own server open QuakeWorld and type Connect Localhost. (On a LAN you have to type the IP address)
