Babas' Biography
2000-2001 SAS School pix in my Dormitory room
My name is Sebastien Cardozo and I was born on March 14th 1985. I lived in Port-au-Prince Haiti in the Caribbean my entire life until we moved. I went to Saint Andrews School in Boca Raton , fl from August 2000 until I had to move to Canada in March 2001. I have a younger sister and an older brother. My hobbies are: driving, soccer, tennis, volleyball, basket-ball, listening to music, watching TV, playing games on my computer, surfing on the net, playing The Realm and going to parties. One of the reason we moved is because I got shot. It was November 18th 1999, a beautiful shinny day in the Caribbean but also a nightmare. I was working on a School project on AIDS with my cousin and a friend when i decided to take a break. After working so hard, I told them that i would go get some fresh air outside which was my biggest mistake. In the morning, the security guard and the gate keeper had a fight as the Security guard had threatened to shoot the harmless gate keeper. I got outside to relax and went to talk to the gate keeper as I usually did. He and his cousin were playing cards at that time and I was standing next to them watching that competitive game they always played. The security guard had forgotten to take the bullet out of his shotgun and came and stood next to us. As he stood there, he used the gun as a support and BANG!!! there it was. This kind of gun shoots over 200 small pellets at a time with an enormous amount of Power. All of them bounced off the ground, went back up and got the three of us (The Gate keeper, his cousin and I). As I heard this huge noise, I looked around, realized the situation and ran inside without even knowing that i was hit. As i was running, I felt a big pain in my stomach; I stopped, lifted my shirt and saw holes and blood coming out. Therefore, I ran straight to my mother's room and yelled out Loud "Manman , Mwen pran!!!....J'ai pris une balle!!!"(Mom, It got me...I got shot !!!). She screamed, putted my in the back seat of the car and left the house. In the meantime, the security guard dropped his gun and ran away. We didn't call an Ambulance because it takes them hours to come unlike in the states. 30 minutes later, we get to the hospital after a traffic jam and so on until surgery. And now, I have entirely recovered from the surgery but the only problem is that I have to be careful with what I eat.
