Physical
Description: His in and out of ring appearance are almost identical.
He has short brown hair and a rich, think beard/goatee. He stands at
a dominant 7"1 (216.41cm) and weighs in at a massive 375lbs (170.45
kilos), so when he enters into a place you damn well know he's there.
In the ring his attire consists
of jeans/trousers (often in black) and tops it off with a sleeveless
black t-shirt under various styles of red and black baseball/hockey
jerseys and flannel shirts, completing the look with a black denim jacket
sporting the words "Jack's Back" printed on the back in large
white letters (of course the jacket is removed before the fight begins).
He also sports a large set of black canvas boots and will often have
his wrists and hands taped up. He has a myriad of tattoos down his left
arm and few scattered tattoos down his right.
Entrance Music: "Saturday Night's Alright"
by Nickleback & Kid Rock
Entrance Ritual: The hall lights go black and "Saturday
Night's Alright" by Nickleback & Kid Rock begins to slams through
the speakers. The main beat hits and a sudden explosion of red, gold
and white pyros erupt out from the entrance as "Crazy" Jack
Hardy makes his way out, double fists raised for the crowds. Red and
gold laser lights circle the arena as Jack climbs into the ring, steps
over to the furthest ring post, climbs it and again raises his fists
for the crowds as the music dies out and the lights return.

Gimmick:
An absolute lunatic, Jack Hardy has proven time and time again that
pain is all just a state of mind and considering the sometimes sick
and twisted ideas that's his mind comes up with, you can bet your ass
that he's seen a lot of pain! He's been thrown through windows, slammed
through tables, run down by cars, fallen of amazing heights, and has
still managed to come back from the brink of death, time and time again.
Nothing appears to slow down Jack Hardy but his own self-esteem, which
can often take a blow when a match is lost. However even though his
mind is sometimes more warped than a Dr. Who episode and his power hits
us like a japanese bullet train, Jack Hardy has a heart of gold. A real
softy at heart with down to earth values and deep seated beliefs, but
of course by looking at him you wouldn't know it, the guy looks like
a lumberjack for christ's sake. In any case, he's quick with a joke
and a 24-7 comedian, Jack will rarely take anything too seriously, even
taking charge to have a joke at himself from time to time. He's often
found laughing up opponents attempts to "intimidate" and "hurt"
him and it's this joking nature that often becomes confused with arrogance,
but Jack shrugs it off and assures them that it all just comes down
to the fact that "they don't know Jack".
Background:
Born in Red Centre, Australia. Father was a coal miner/professional boxer, mother was a homemaker. Two siblings, a brother and a sister. Both parents dead in bizarre cave collapse during a family holiday to Ayers Rock. The brother, Louis James Hardy and sister, Kate Leigh Hardy are both presumed missing. Jack Hardy, attended Australian Defense Forces Academy in Canberra, 1983-87. Upon graduation was recruited into newly formed 1st squadron of the Special Air Service Regiment (SASR) and remained with this unit when it was reorganized into the Australian Tactical Assault Group (TAG) shortly thereafter. His entire career has been with TAG with the exception of one tour of duty with the Australian Intelligence Corp (AustInt), 1993-96. Has lead his counter-terrorist teams on three continents and has cross-trained with both the U.S. "Delta Force" and British Special Air Service. Unmarried. Hardy is a career CT officer. He is a veteran of dozens of assaults and approaches even the most dangerous missions with the easy-going good humor that has become his hallmark. He is in superb physical condition and has demonstrated an ability to endure even the most extreme physical hardship. Leaving TAG in 1999, he retired to a civilian life and began plans to build a gym in the inner city limits of Boston, Massachusetts. Through this venture he became interested in picking up where his late father had left off, professional boxing. However it was his competing in boxing tournements that led him to his wrestling career with the NAWF (New Australian Wrestling Federation). Adopting the name “The Tank” (after his reputation for being able to drink anyone under the table), he quickly excelled up the ranks and became the first military trained pro wrestler to receive the heavyweight title belt in NAWF history. Being an amature federation however, it wasn't long before Jack became hurt in a poorly executed Knee Drop off the top ropes, injuring himself terribly. Jack's left knee, as well as his ego, was torn.
Retiring from the ring, Jack took the turn of events as a sign of fate, retiring to a life of military pension collection and TV dinners. But when an ex-Australian Boxing champion, Rocco Moider came knocking, noticing the potential that a man like "Tank" possessed, Jack returned to the ring for another time. But instead of Moider training "The Tank" to become a formidable wrestler/boxer, Rocco controlled him, turning "Tank" into a violent homicidal killer. And unfortunately for Rocco, "The Tank" grew beyond his control and as a result left Rocco's team of Marauders in less than plesent fashion. Rocco became enraged and had the rest of his Marauder's give "Tank" an offer he couldn't refuse. Three of the original five Marauder's went home that night in the back of ambulances and Moider has had it in for him ever since. Committed to a mental institution by the NAWF CEO in February 1999 due to a bizarre arena trashing incident, he was later released in December that year. From this point he attempted to once again start from scratch and piece back together his life. Jack "J.T" Tank, as he was now known, succeeded in joining the roster of UFC, Ultimate Fighting Championship. Doing extremly well as a Brawling Powerhouse, Jack managed to break bones and organs, even some that wern't his own. Learning many new people and manuvers during his time in the UFC, Jack managed to become freshly skilled in the arts of Judo and Taekwando, making his once useless tree trunk legs, an extra pair of weapons in his arsenal, to which he used proudly. In 2000 Jack was forced to leave the UFC after a brutal barrage of fists and elbows to the back of his skull, curtosy of fellow big brawler, Tank Abbott. Jack was put into a coma and a steel plate had to be installed in his forehead to replace the skull that had been shattered from the constant battering against the floor. Thankfully Jack regained conciousness in late 2000, immediatly beginning his rehabilitation. Learning to walk and move all over again gave Jack a new appriciation for the struggles that most people go through and set himself straight to from now on do the right thing and be there for the people. In early 2001 Jack was back in civilian life, training almost every day to get back into the buisness that he loved, professional wrestling. With a refueled confidence and life, Jack applied and successfully joined the prestigious ranks of The Colosseum, in fact "Fuel" was the basis of his first "gimmick".
"Fuel" bursted onto the scene and left a path of destruction and havoc in his wake, often letting his actions speak louder than his words. In wasn't until he started after the Extreme Title that the "Fuel" persona took a back seat to the more dynamic and crowd pleasing "Crazy" Jack Hardy. With his mixture of high-flying throws, devastating kicks and bone shattering powerhouse moves, Jack Hardy has proved time and time again that he is indeed one of the great "gladiators" of The Colosseum. Jack crawled his way through the Extreme Title division, pulverizing all and any competitor that opposed him, sometimes losing matches just so that his opponent wouldn't be walking away. Having achieved the Extreme title not once but twice, Jack Hardy set his sights on the grand prize, and after a series of failed attempts to achieve the highly sort after status as Heavyweight Champion, Jack Hardy finally got his chance when he went up against former New Attitude tag team member, Giovanni "The Tretched" Spartan. After a hard fought match against the Hall of Famer, Jack went down and lost his chance at greatness. Thrown into a personal pit of despair, Jack Hardy quit The Colosseum and went back to his life at the Jack Hardy Gym in Boston. He returned briefly a year later, this time as the manager of a new cocky kid known as Johnny Niagara. However while Johnny earned the fans approval with his "Little Bag'o'Tricks" and backstage pranks, it was his performance in the squared-circle that really mattered, and sadly for Johnny, he could not last.
Two years have passed since then and Jack Hardy is now back and ready to claim that one title he never achieved. He is here and ready to dish out the punishment he has long since held dormant. Like a volcano waiting for just the right amount of population to spew lava forth on, Jack Hardy is ready to go Pompeii on all those new "bad asses" and "wannabes" that think they know what's what. The school bell has rung and Jack Hardy is today's teacher, it's time the "new jacks" got a lesson and woke up to the real truth. Pack up you're rubber sheets and bring a fresh change of draws, because the one and only is back... Jack's Back.
Strengths:
Brutal
- His ferociousness is unforgiving and virtually unstoppable. Can often
fly into a berserker rage, some even saying that he can even smell the
fear... But more often than not, that's just the opponent wetting himself.
Experienced
- A man of the ring, he knows exactly where he is at all times in the
squared-circle.
Tough
- He thrives off the agony and adrenaline that begins to pump through
his veins after that brutal chair shot from a wielding foe. The more
you punish him, the more he won't stay down.
Larrikin
- He's a huge fan favorite with his own special brand of backstage pranks
and humor. Always quick with a joke and sharp as a tack, the crowds
absolutely love the Wondah from Down Undahhh.
Weaknesses:
Berserker
- His brutality and aggression can sometimes get the best of him, in
most often cases this results in cracks opening up in his defense.
Getting
On - His age is catching up to him and as a result his speed and agility
are not what they use to be, but his power is as strong as ever.
Can't
Say Enough - It's not just an expression, he physically just can't quit
when he is down. He fights with every ounce of his well being and this
can often result in him getting himself seriously injured.
Joker
- He doesn't take a lot of things too seriously. This often clouds his
scope on just how serious a situation currently is.
