| Brief History: Kiahlandra was born shortly after the Drow wars, when three minor Drow Houses flooded through the Gates to Citera. Her mother had been raped and left for dead by one of the warriors. Dianandra was heart broken by her bastard daughter, but made a valiant effort to raise her as normal. Kiahl was treated as an outcast, even by her own brothers and sisters, and Dianandra finally brought the small child to the Temple of Light. The clerics took in the child where no one else would, and soon discovered that she had a touch of the True Sight, a rare gift of precognition. Kiahl cared nothing for her skills in magic, and spent most of her years in the temple in the library, studying dark things like necromancy. When it became aparant that she would not turn take to the life of a priestess, Kiahl was asked to leave the temple. Without home, or livelyhood, she turned to magic school, only to find she was too old to begin training. Discouraged and disheartened, she appealed to the royal court to allow her to travel through the Gates to find training elsewhere, but was denied. She refused to accept their decision, and later that night tried to steal one of the Keys to open a Gate. Unfortunately, she was caught, and inronically exilled. Now, she makes her home deep within Rhy'Din's forest, far off the beaten path, though every now and then the adventurous stumbles across her cave... | |
