Kaelyn's existence is as much of a mystery as the rest of the Fae: one day she appeared in the Royal Court cartwheeling and singing, and no one was sure were she came from. Like her elder "sister" Faelyn, no one knows her true name, but unlike Faelyn she claims no relation to the elves of Citera. It is rumored that she--and all the Fae--are creatures born of the magic of the land. Where most of her kin are mostly regal beings, Kaelyn shows none of it; she is perpetually a child, a slender, long-limbed child. It is a well-known fact that Kaelyn is a shifter of shapes, and often impersonates the Regent and her sister, and almost anyone else if it will prove fun. Often times she'll be seen with Daergoth, an Ey'Un narel deer that looks something like a dog-sized reindeer with curling ram horns and a slightly draconian face. Kaelyn seems unaffected by the season, and is always barefoot. She rarely openly displays any magical abiliy, but it widely suspected that she is on par with Faelyn, who is known as one of the strongest beings on Citera.
