Saga Frontier

With over 30 separate "regions" to explore, and 7 different senarios, you might think that a lot of time would be taken up playing SaGa Frontier. But Saga Frontier is awesome, and almost completely different from any other RPG. Like, instead of the classes found in most RPGs (mage, warrior, thief), abilities in Saga Frontier are based on a character's species.
•Humans can use weapons, spells, and tricks in battle, and can equip almost anything.
•Monsters battle primarily by absorbing the ability of one of the enemies defeated in battle and using it against other enemies for awhile. They aren't able to equip hardly any armor or weapons either
•Mechs advance by downloading the abilities of enemy Mechs. So if there is no mech (robot) in the fight, nothing will happen. Plus, you can restore a mech's energy sometimes by absorbing that mechs abilities.
•Mystics advance by using their Mystic abilities of Sword, Gloves, and Boots. Each time you hit a monster with one of these abilities there is a chance that you will absorb the monster into your Mystical weapon. This will grant you additional special abilities, and may unlock additional Mystic abilities for you. You will notice new abilities after fighting.

The battle system is pretty cool too. Everything has its own list when fighting: item, tech, magic, weapon, and other stuff.
When equiping in the menu, there are 4 slots for equiping items and weapons, and 4 slots for armor. While everyone can equip any item they choose (item as in cure items, attack items, etc.), one person can equip the backpack, which holds every usable item in it for battle. But only the person with it equiped can use it.

There are twelve different types of magic in this game, but you can only learn six of them (not using codes) because each of the six pairs is opposite each other. (eg. Light and Shadow are oppsite, Arcane and Rune are opposite, etc.)
Types of Magic:
•Rune & Arcane
•Light & Shadow
•Space & Time
•Evil & Mind
•Mystic & Realm
•Life & Mirage

Now as for techniques, they are learned when the character is equiped with some type of gun, sword, dagger, or uses physical moves like punch or kick. And there are specials too that are not learned from any of these and have various effects on the enemy or your party.

While in battle, sometimes, 2 to 5 people in your party (there are five people total with combos named Level 2 combo, Level 3 combo, etc) will perform a combo move with a random combonation of techs, spells, and specials. I would name some off but there are probably hundreds of them. I did have a sheet that had all the combos i ever got but i lost it:( The Level 5 combos (5 people involved) are the most powerful, obviously, and the highest damage i have seen done is over 12000 hp lost. (HOLY CRAP THATS A LOT!) This is another thing different from most RPGs. damage can be over 9999! Cool, eh? The whole 9999 limit gets pretty damn annoying. But you are extremely lucky to get even a Level 5 combo, because everyone party member has to have used the right action, but Level 2 combos are very common and you will begin to recognize what skills cause what combos to happen, depending on how long you keep the same people in your party. You can have up to 20 (or was it 30?) people with you to switch around your party, but once a character joins you after you already have every spot in your menu filled, you will not be able to use that person in your party since you can't select them.

Phew! Well that sure is a lot of information! Well for me to be saying anyway. I can honestly say this is the best section of any website I have ever made. I'm so proud of myself...Now go! enjoy the rest of the site! Although I don't think it will compare to this section hahaha ;)

Download Saga Frontier midis (although the person who made this did a terrible job of naming the midis)

There will be more added later to this section though, like music, and pics, but thats LATER.
