WHOO HOO!

all right! i just found out that artwork from "Legendary" (!) won a massive art contest on GamingEdge/Nintendojo! this is older artwork too, and not even my best! go to GamingEdge.com now and scroll down to see the announcement and a NEW (to you) graphic from the comic book! free pokemon stuff, whoo hoo! best of all: "Legendary" WILL be finished and fully available on March 1st, 2000! that's two weeks from tomorrow (16th)! believe me, it's better than i expected it would be. i'll reveal the address for my company, 502 Studios, in about a week, so keep checking back here! yeah!

hello everyone, it's time for another update! whoo hoo! this is ALL about "Legendary," so buckle up. Let's see...where to start.....

i've had to restructure the whole thing so it's not a traditional comic book anymore. rather late in the game i discovered geocities' sudden incapacity to reliably load large graphic images (comic book pages), so the story is in a pseudo-graphic novel style. it's written out like a novel, but still retains almost all the art from the comic book, so don't worry. i finished the text yesterday, and after hours of effort realized that this new format has about forty times the text of the comic book. wow. you all should really enjoy it. the better news is that i'm wrapping up the artwork now, and i'm on schedule for a march 1st release. keep checking back here for any updates until then!

UPDATE 1/11/2K:

okay everyone, sorry for not updating in a while. i've been insanely busy with the holidays, school, and my social life and all, but I PROMISE that i've been working on "Legendary." i've made three pages completely internet-ready, and am almost done with about six more (nine pages is half the book)!

first off, let me say thanks to all the fans that have kept writing to me in the exorbitantly long time i haven't updated the site. i'd also like to welcome new U.K. pokemon fans who've been so e-mail happy lately. thanks, all. ;) plus, a special hi to a fellow poke-artist, loki! ^_^

well, before i've even finished the first book of "Legendary," i'm already hard at work on the final two. i suppose i've kept all you crazy pokemaniacs in the dark for long enough, so i'll life the veil just slightly on "Legendary."

"Legendary" is a pokemon mini-series done in a realistic style... that means a departure from the manga style(as great as it and Toshihiro Ono may be). i'll go more into the style and purpose of the comic as march (hopefully) draws near.

anywayz, there are three issues of "Legendary," the first of which i'm trying to have finished by march (i'm TRYING!). they each have a subtitle to distinguish one from the other. believe me, each book has a distinct tone and is quite different from the others. the first is "Arctic Chill," and is the more adventure-oriented of the three. the only hint i'll give you: it involves Articuno. i can't tell you about the second two books yet, but their titles are "Love and War" and "Dark Soul" respectively. look forward to them!
