Privateer is a clan that prides itself on its word and its commitment to keeping its word. Perhaps few know but it is a condition of the privateer ethics that no innocently bystanding citizens shall be harmed during the course of attacks upon the magical guardians set as sentinels to protect the lands of these realms.

Privateer has failed to achieve this.

During a recent attack upon the forrest of Ardath the former Chaplain and worshipper of Elwyn was turned about by the pain inflicting breath of the Nova Mortavian Behemoths and he accidentally unleashed powerful magics upon the citizens of thorn. That it was an accident is no excuse and it is clear that the Privateers have failed dismally in their attempts to live up to their promises and henceforth Privateer offers the following:

Unconditional peace to clan Nova Mortavia

A sum of five million coins to Nova Mortavia to be distributed as they see fit in the rebuilding and compensation of the citizenry of thorn.

Furthermore in accordance with privateer standards Aphronais has been stripped of all rank and authority and will be publically whipped before he will be trialled by the justice system who have full authority in the determination of his fate for his crime against the realms.

I offer my personal condolences and the those of Privateer to the families of the dead and sincerely wish more could be done to ensure their lives are not further damaged. Unfortunately the sum of five million coins will not be paid until peace is declared as we feel the war will only continue to create further hardships for Thorn and its citizens.

We look forward to hopefully getting past this ugly situation and ensuring the people of Thorn can get on with their lives as best as they are able.
