Here's a problem I composed for your delectation.
Desperate situations require desperate solutions. White to move and draw! What is it?




















The Solution may not be as obvious as you might think!
If you found 1. Qh2+..., then you are wrong.
The move gives White a draw if Black recaptures with 1... Kh2,
and White would be in stalemate. But it fails if Black recaptures
with 1... Qh2! White replies with 2. Kd1, Qd2 mate.
The correct move is 1. Qg2+... After Black plays 1...Kg2,
White is in stalemate.
