As from today 4th Sept 1998, the request-by-Email service is no more.....
When I first started this up all was fine, I was getting about 5 requests per day which was easily manageable. But as of late I have been getting 20-30 per day which as you can understand is way too many to fulfill , while still trying to lead some sort of a normal life.
Their ofcourse were the annoyances such as: Fools requesting 10 roms per email which happened on a regular basis, peoples ISP providers whose limit on the size of email attachments was pathetic & email addresses which "strangely" came back as non-existent just after I had sent them their requests.
I suppose the biggest problem as it always is was space. 10 mb just doesn't cut it, so to do this properly big space is required which unfortunately I don't have access to.
I have recieved 13,000 + hits within 3-4 months which was a suprise as I only thought I would get a few hundred. This just goes to show that the emulation scene is definately alive and well...............as it should be!!
I hope I have put smiles on some peoples faces with the requests, and by most of the emails and guestbook messages I've recieved, I'm sure of it.
