I figured it was about time I tried out this "Shared Base" phenomenon that seemed to be taking the melee community by storm. I wanted to see what was so great about it.

Turns out it's a super version of BGH... Basically a moron's game because of the non-tactical lay out of the map... But hey, the money flow was awesome!

Shared Base is dumb

I don't know what to say... This game I find humorous. I had never played this so called "Shared Base" map before, and decided that I'd try it out. First of all, I was shocked by its incredible cash flow - the minerals were hugging the starting locations on every side! Well anyway, apparently my stupid co-players wanted it to be a top vs bottom... So my ally moved his Command Center and all his SCV's down to my base - effectively wasting 3 minutes. It was essentially a 2v1.

There was a "no rush" rule implemented so I began doing what I assumed was smart on such a map - I built about 15 Starports.

But they broke the silence with out me realizing "no rush" time was up.

I wasn't sure what would happen next... But in this 2v1 (where my ally was reduced back to his starting units and building) I fought hard.

The following are comments made by my ally:

...Me:

...And my opponent (one of them):
What happened in this game? One this is for sure, the replay will end early signifying that I must have lost... And god knows my opponent reddogdave used a map hack (judging on how he mysteriously "sees" an enemy barracks)

Who knows how the battle went. Check it out your god damn self.
