Warhammer

Warhammer is a tabletop battle game manufactured by the pros at Games Workshop.  If you are interested, click the link below.

I began playing Warhammer about six months ago.  I played a Lizard man army but now I play a Necarch Vampire Lords army.

I think the key to a good Vampire counts army depends on what family you are playing.  For Necrachs, get alot of Skeleton regiments with light armor, shields, and spears.  I prefer skeletons over zombies because they take up more points and have more options(but that zombie always lap-around rule isn't to be overlooked). This will give any skeletons you raise the same stuff and since skeletons aren't great at combat, you want them to survive long enough, so give them that 5+ saving throw.  The spears allow them to attack in two ranks.  Including either a vampire thrall or a wight champion will also help to ensure that your skeletons don't turn into bone-goo.  For the Lahmia and Von Carstien families, anything pretty much goes, but VonCarstiens may want to focus on animal-type troops since many of their powers increase the effectiveness of these.  Blood Dragon Vampires may want to focus on wight cavalry and dreadwolves.  Mount your general and wizards on winged-nightmares or manticores.  This will allow them to move to where they are needed.  A Blood Dragon army like this is very mobile and can really rip up enemies by flanking.  A Black Coach is a good addition to any army.  Don't limit yourself to these suggestions, experiment.  The hardest part about playing Warhammer is not being able to pay for what you want, so consider playing a "demo" army made of tokens to decide what you want to play.  Thanks, and once again, e-mail me with any questions or suggestions.  Also, you could e-mail me to see if I can help you find someone to play with.
